We stayed here in Feb 2017, for 3 nights. Amazing hotel, great location, very friendly staff. Would absolutely recommend this hotel, if you want to stay close to the Vatican. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by, and only a 10 min walk to the nearest Metro station. We had a fabulous time.

We stayed here as a couple on the 18th January 2017 for 3 nights for my girlfriend's 30th birthday. Upon arrival, the check-in was very efficient with helpful front of house staff who provided us with a map and advised on where to eat after our journey. The hotel interior is very modern with a boutique feel, which has lift...

We booked the Relais Vatican View mostly because of it's location. It is located nicely only about 200m (by walking) from St. Peter's Cathedral. The hotel itself is lovely. The reception is located in an entrance next to the hotel and when we arrived we felt very welcome right away. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We booked the...

Dear AnBe1986, Thank you for the nice review :) we're happy to know that your stay was good also thanks to us! I'm very sorry about the inconvenience of the heating, I don't know what's happened, but I will investigate about it. Maybe there was a technical problem because the heating is always good, sometimes we have clients who ask...

The service in the hotel was a extremely friendly and room modern, clean and comfortable. The terrace is a very nice extra. The location is only a short walk away from the Vatican, which comes in handy if you want to get a early start and beat the lines. We can only recommend this hotel.

Location, perfect. Rooms, perfect. Rooftop view, perfect. Service, spectacular. My wife and I are Nashville, Tennesseans. We are very familiar with Southern Hospitality. Daniel, the concierge for this hotel, needs to have a management position if he doesn't already. He treated us like royalty and was as humble as one can be. I can't say enough on how impressed I...

If you are going to visit the Vatican, stay here. You can see St. Peter's dome from their beautiful roof terrace. Daniel their staffer was a huge help. I loved my room, in particular the beautiful bathroom with a huge soaking tub. It was just what I needed.

We chose the hotel for its location and based upon the great reviews. Upon our very early arrival, we received a warm welcome, a map and left our luggage before heading out for some sightseeing. When we returned our cases were in our room which was small but had good storage, a lovely bathroom and a shared kitchen area with...

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
