El Dorado is charming and welcoming Bed & Breakfast located at the heart of rome, in the Prati district, only a short walk away from the Piazza San Pietro and the Piazza del Popolo.El Dorado is located in a newly refurbished appartment, in a historical building built at the beginning of the 20th century.On foot, the Basilica San Pietro , the Vatican museums and the Castel Sant'Angelo, aswell as the two main shopping streets , Via Cola di Rienzo and Via del Corso, are only 5 minutes away.The district offers all amenities, like restaurants, bars, pharmacies, banks etc... The metro stop Ottaviano is a few minutes away, and will allow you to enjoy all the other touristic and historic attractions the eternal city has to offer.

The accommodation was very comfortable for our 4 night stay. Check in and check out was easy and fast. Our host, Gianluca was very helpful with every need and requests we had. Even went out of his way to call in a lunch reservation for us. We liked the cleanliness and the overall look and feel of the guest house. We loved that the rooms are cleaned everyday with fresh sheets and towels. Very safe neighborhood with a lot of dining options and shopping nearby. The location was very central and accessible to the attractions and some within walking distance like the Vatican and Trastevere. We will surely stay again on our next visit! Thank you Gianluca for making our stay comfortable!

Great location close to Vatican. Lovely building with traditional lift. Very clean, light rooms, and communal kitchen. Pretty quiet street. Host met us promptly and was a good communicator. Restaurant across the road does great food and is reasonably priced. 7 min walk to metro so all sites easily accessed. Would recommend.

Super convenient location with plenty of good restaurants nearby, pharmacy on the right side of the main entrance. Super clean. Owner always super responsive and super helpful with any questions we have. HIGHLY highly recommended. Walkable distance to the Vatican is a HUGE bonus.

El Dorado Vatican was a fantastic find. Located centrally in Prati district it is an easy walk to Metro, Vatican, Castel Sant'Angelo, restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores. The rooms were on the fourth floor - just 4 large rooms that join with shared kitchen area - and was accessibleby a small elevator. We didn't see another guest ; it felt very private. Our 3 day stay was pleasant, comfortable, and entire experience was easy. We would stay here again if we return to Rome.

This was an awesome find! The price was right. The location was great and the room was clean with lots of space. We ordered an airport transfer through them and that was perfect. Check in was great. We got in early and were given maps and ideas on where to eat. The breakfast provided was up the street at a cafe and was delicious. The rooms are located on the 4th or 5th floor so stairs and the elevator were needed. We could walk to the Vatican, the Metro and explore easily. I would stay here again for sure. Our original trip to Rome was planned for Easter but Covid struck and we visited in August instead. We kept in contact with Andrea,who runs the b&b and were able to re-book very easily. In fact any contact with Andrea was very straightforward as we communicated via Whatsapp and always got a quick and helpful answer to any of our questions.We opted for the private transfer to/from the airport which Andrea arranged for us and the driver was very pleasant and friendly. The place itself is perfectly located and very fresh and clean,a lovely place to go back to after a day on your feet ! Breakfast was taken in a cafe a couple of doors up - croissant and coffee,a good way to start the day. There was a fridge in the room which was stocked with drinks (price list in room),very handy for storing your own drinks too. There is a communal kitchen where you could help yourself to tea,coffee and use the microwave. On the last day of our trip we were being picked up at 1.00pm and although usual check out time is 11am,Andrea gave us use of the room until we left which we really appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble and we can't thank Andrea enough. We really have nothing negative to say about this b&b and will certainly be recommending it to anyone we know who intends to visit Rome and hope to return ourselves in the future.…

Stayed here for 3 nights in August as a solo traveller and it couldn’t have been better. 5 min walk to the metro, 10 min walk to the Vatican and a 30 min walk to historic Rome, the location is great! Rooms are clean and provide everything you need, free breakfast (coffee and croissant) from the cafe next door is very welcome! Supermarkets nearby should you wish to cook in the shared kitchen. Would stay again!

Friendly helpful owner,when off site he can be contacted through what app. Window was great to sit by- my daughters favourite place.rooms comfy tea coffee in the kitchen.plenty of food around area,best coffee ,bakers opposite not to far from metro and busses. walking distance for vatican.we had a lovely stay,shame it had to end.

4 of us spent 2 wonderful weeks in Rome, staying at the El Dorado Vatican. Andrea and Valentina were almost like family, helping us with the language and answering any questions we had. They both went out of the way to accommodate us. Very helpful with tips on everyday life in Rome. The Bed and Breakfast had old world charm and was very comfortable. Everything we needed during our stay. All or us would highly recommend this B&B for any length of stay, one night or two weeks, very affordable and very clean. El Dorado Vatican, thank you for making our experience a once in a life time trip.
