I stayed there for a week and I would like to share my opinion that Regio hotel has a very good location near to the Train Station, rooms are clean but not so spacious. Small bathrooms and beds. Breakfast are very poor, nothing to choose at all. Few options of cold cuts, coffee machine making very bad coffees, overall breakfast... More

Had the opportunity to spend 2 nights here on route to the cruise dock. The hotel is nice and clean and the staff are quite helpful and pleasant. The room was rather small but all we needed was a place to sleep after a long day of sight seeing - room was really clean and well appointed. The free breakfast... More

The hotel in one word, perfect. The was a 10-15 minute walk to Central Rome which isn't a problem considering the amount of walking we did anyways. We we're given a balcony room and we we're pleased with the room size and the amenities considering most European based hotels are cramped and non-spacious. It's right beside Termini Station which is... More

The room upon checking in looked lovely however the mattress just plain awful, hard, no support. Once we went to bed early as we had to leave extremely early for the airport we were unable to get much sleep. In the next room there were two Italian women talking loudly for most of the night. Perhaps I should have called... More

This was a lovely place to stay while exploring Rome. It was less than 5 minutes from the train station. ~We spent 3 nights here in September 2016. Our room was lovely, and spotlessly clean. All staff were really friendly and welcoming, and all spoke very good English.

I stayed with my partner in June at Regio. The room was spacious, modern television and the usual amenities. The location was absolutely perfect, as you can get a transfer coach (any company) from practically outside the hotel (just a minute up the street, so you don't suffer the traffic but you still get the convenience and peace of mind... Clean hotel, great location by Termini railway station. Good continental breakfast. Lots of places could be reached by foot. Internet connection was a little bit annoying, too slow. Wi-Fi available only in the ground floor foyer.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
