This is an ideal place for a base to tour the eternal city. The area is incredibly safe, across from US embassy and police station 2 doors down. It's a reminder of the dolce Vita lifestyle of Rome. It's minutes from the tour bus stop, minutes from the metro station and minutes from the best tourist sites the city can...

Basically it is not a hotel but several lovely furnished rooms one of which you rent at the 4th floor of residential/office buiding. If you don't need a hotel with foyer, dining room and 24h reception - then this solution as quality is definitely preferable against other 3* (and more costly) hotels in this very expensive and convinient area of...

I did not know this but it is a guest house with hotel services. This means it is only four or five rooms and no 24h receptionist. It is also located inside an office building along with doctors offices, law firms and other guest houses, so at first when yo arrive to the location you see no sign of a...

A great little guest house in a lovely area. The welcome was wonderful. Monica was very friendly and informative. Rooms are comfortable and the showers are good, with air conditioning to keep cool and blankets to keep warm. The guest house in on the 4th floor of a building with a brown door. There are stairs to reach the floor...

Not much to look at from the road, just a brown door, and it is on the fourth floor of a mixed building with a rickety lift but what a gem of a place to stay. Lovely rooms with very comfortable beds and breakfast served in your room. The receptionist Monica is so lovely and full very good information, especially...

Went to Rome to see the history of Rome. The hotel is very difficult to find and is on the fourth floor of a large corner building. Very clean but no dinning area and breakfast in the bedroom The staff were lovely and were the most friendly in Rome

Couldnt have gotten better hospitality if we tried. Upon checkin we were greeted with the friendliest of staff who even had a platter of biscuits and cold juice to take into our room as a welcoming. They offered us lots of tourist advice and never rushed. They always made sure our stay was as best as possible. We loved our...

We spent 4 nights at Domus Via Veneto in early May. Monica and Gianluca were the employees on duty during our stay. It is a very convenient location across the street from the US Embassy. Another benefit is there is a grocery store next door to the entrance. The breakfasts were perfect for us with OJ, coffee, fruit and pastries...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.

The Domus Via Veneto is a small but luxurious guest house located in a historic palace a few steps away from one of the most famous streets of Rome, Via Veneto, immortalized by Federico Fellini in “La Dolce Vita”. The Domus is central but in a quiet location. It has five rooms, each one dedicated to a great Italian painter, a tribute to those who made Italy the favorite destination of cultural tourism and as an invitation to know better that great city museum called Rome. ... more   less
