We stayed for 3 nights during a city break to Rome. Less than 5 mins to Vatican, and 10mins walk to the metro. Located in a quiet area of the city (at night), neighbourhood seemed friendly and relaxed. Not sign posted as it's located within an apartment building, but once we found it we were very happy - clean, comfortable...

Just a few minutes walk away from the Vatican. Also within walking distance from other attractions like Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. The bathroom / toilet is private but you have to go out of your room, just as promised. Very clean room and bathroom. Water and tea / coffee making facilities a nice touch. ### Make sure you take...

I always book a room with private bathroom, and until now, every hotel I have stayed at had a private bathroom inside the room, right? That is just comfortable, no need to put your pants on at 3 am in the morning if you had your last cup of coffee at midnight. In this case, I booked a "private bathroom"...

The location is very good near the vatican, with alot of cafes and restuarants near by. The room was very comfortable & clean with air-conditioning (a must in Rome) and had a nice private bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful, place is easy to find and not too far from the Metro Ottiviano. Would just like to mention the wi-fi...

Stayed here for a treat on my partners birthday. Ideal location to explore Rome via the metro. Right next to the Vatican you can't ask for a better location. We stayed in a room with a private bathroom which was down the corridor. This was not ideal but we didn't mind. The room was large and had a large comfy...

The place is good located, near vatican and castel st. Angelo but about 15 min to metro by foot. Breakfast was nice and room itself was pretty cosy and colorful. The shower is not located in the room but it is separate for all guests as was promised. Be ready to listen to sirens of ambulance as hospital is somewhere...

This was a very small & homely place situated within a block of flats just a two minute walk from St Peters.. Arrived before the 14:30 check in & there was no answer at the door, however i rang up & a lovely gentleman welcomed us.. We were given a map & a sightseeing book. Bathrooms are individual to your...

My daughter and I stayed for 3 nights in al Passetto. 3nights no sleep, because of all the noise on the very, very busy street just under our window. Furthermore, the breakfast is a plastic tray with all kinds of prepacked stuff: some toast, bread( in plastic!!!), some butter and jam and so on. This is delivered in your room...

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
