My wife and I stayed here on a recent visit and had a very good time. The location is perfect, close to public transportation and an easy walk to the Trevi fountain, the Pantheon and many other sites. I've seen the reviews mentioning issues with the staff, but everyone that we interacted with was friendly, efficient and quick to assist....

It is an old fashioned hotel with a touch of design in a great location. All the staff try to make you feel special and they are always kind. The brakfast buffet is huge , you can find anything you want on the buffet and the restaurant is just lovely

I stayed here for two wonderful weeks. All of the staff---bellmen, barmen, concierge, desk staff, housekeepers, restaurant staff---were gracious, kind, and went out of their way to make sure that my trip to Rome was everything it should be. They provided expert advice on tours and restaurants, troubleshooted travel plans, and really just catered to my every need as a...

Hotel lobby and room/bathroom was a little weathered and it appeared that the hotel is starting to renovate. We had great service from front desk as well as Jennifer. We traveled for two weeks in Italy and stayed in awesome luxury hotels. This was the only hotel that did not provide ongoing complimentary bottled water, traditional facial tissue, and had...

We have stayed here before and it was just as lovely this time. Great location on via v. veneto, just a 5-10 minute walk to many of the monuments and the shopping area. From the moment you arrive, you feel like a pampered guest. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The sound proofed rooms are classically decorated and quite...

This is my favorite hotel in Rome, I dwell in it forever. Everything at the proper level. Price corresponds to quality. All sights and shopping within walking distance! Very friendly staff! Linen is changed every day. Nearby is within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain, the metro. For those who want to do shopping within walking distance of Via Corso...

I agree with many of the reviews of this hotel. It is a beautiful neo-classical (classical but not old), clean and very well located hotel. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Pick a room away from the street side as the noise can be a nuisance. I only tried the Margarita pizza in the room service menu and it...

We stayed at Hotel Majestic for 3 nights during the month of November. The location was excellent but everything else was not. We would wake up early in the morning at the loud sound of staff shouting in the hallway, the minibar was never refilled and we found opened bottles of drinks inside it that were never replaced. Whenever we...

This hotel was classy with beautiful decor and service. Room we had was a great size and very comfy beds. Breakfast was pricey so better to venture out to the many cafes only a few steps from the hotel. Short walk to on off bus stop and easy access to just wander this beautiful city.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Majestic Roma embraces its neoclassical heritage by reinventing it for the 21st century and offering guests the chance to step into a one of the city's most glamorous residences. The hotel is an original combination of styles, a study in careful contradictions that juxtaposes white lacquered pieces of furniture, rich textures and the extraordinary use of color to evoke an emotional response from all who visit. Rooms and suites show a gentle use of simple lines and almost imperceptible curves, creating a perfect blend of innovative setup style combined with classic elegance. The hotel Majestic Roma is located directly on Via Veneto, few steps from Villa Borghese, the second largest landscape garden in the naturalistic English manner in Rome. Walking distance to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and city's finest boutiques. Convenient to enjoy museums, theatre, nightlife, restaurants and to reach the financial center. ... more   less
