I love the old world charm of this hotel and the amazing service. It's a trip back in time complete with brass room keys and a rickety elevator. The service is wonderful. Any room request was answered within 2-3 minutes. Towels, an engineer, bellman. We had a junior suite on the fifth floor. It was large enough for three, although...

Stayed here for 4 nights. Was great from the moment we arrived. The staff where courteous and friendly. From the door men the maid service to the front desk and management. The buffet breakfast was fantastic every morning. Which by the way the manager up graded us for free. There where 3 of us. Usually about $30 per day each....

Not worth the price. Only good thing was location. Dirty sheets, surly and unhelpful staff, poor restaurant service, no Kleenex, terrible bathroom, shower temperature control did not work, and shower head fell off.

Wonderful experience at this hotel. The building is beautiful and our room was very comfortable, with amazing views. The location of the hotel is one of the best aspects - it’s close to everything, has lovely cafe and restaurant options right next door - yet is still off the main road so you get peace and quiet when you return...

The hotel is on a lovely tree lined street within walking distance to all of Romes top historical attractions. A hotel that pays attention to detail. From the moment you walk in you feel a warmth and friendly feeling. The luxurious lobby and rooms are worth the splurge. I do wish the rooms for 2 people were a bit larger...

The staff (concierge, doormen, bellman, maid service, etc) was friendly and helpful. They greeted us by name every time we had a question or returned from a day out. Spotlessly clean! Excellent breakfast. Lots of room. Reasonable price. Couldn't have asked for more. Would definitely recommend!

We had stayed at this hotel as part of our honeymoon over 20 years ago and were therefore slightly apprehensive about going back as we didn't want to spoil any happy memories. This is an excellent hotel in top prime location. Most of its rooms have gone through extensive renovation. Personnel is professional and helpful but the top asset here is the morning breakfast, especially taken on the terrace on a sunny morning.

A one night stay isn’t enough to assess all an hotel in any depth but we enjoyed what we encountered. The Majestic is a relatively small hotel, with a splendid location on the Via Veneto close to the Piazza Barberini and it’s thus an excellent base, especially for tourists. The architecture and décor are classic luxe, although the public area...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Majestic Roma embraces its neoclassical heritage by reinventing it for the 21st century and offering guests the chance to step into a one of the city's most glamorous residences. The hotel is an original combination of styles, a study in careful contradictions that juxtaposes white lacquered pieces of furniture, rich textures and the extraordinary use of color to evoke an emotional response from all who visit. Rooms and suites show a gentle use of simple lines and almost imperceptible curves, creating a perfect blend of innovative setup style combined with classic elegance. The hotel Majestic Roma is located directly on Via Veneto, few steps from Villa Borghese, the second largest landscape garden in the naturalistic English manner in Rome. Walking distance to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and city's finest boutiques. Convenient to enjoy museums, theatre, nightlife, restaurants and to reach the financial center. ... more   less
