Clean. Excellent front desk. Location is a block from Metro (Castro Pretorio) and about 5 blocks from the Train Station (Terminus). But, they need a new hot water heater. After 6 a.m., the shower starts getting short of hot water, until none by 7 a.m. Our room was amazingly small, but we were only sleeping there anyway. There is a...

Spent four nights here. The staff was very helpful, called us a taxi and was able to make change and offer us advice on our travels. The room is small as most in Italy but well laid out with a closet. The bathroom was clean and adequate. Has a nice lobby for hanging out in and a small bar and...

Great staff !!! Excellent customer service !!! Great location !!! Very accommodating front desk , walking distance to central train station . Tiny elevator but I guess that's common in Italy. Room with romantic view. Very happy with the experience.

We stayed here on a group trip, so the location was picked for us. The location was absolutely perfect, near the train station and near the metro... easy to hop on off both of those. It was clean and surprisingly spacious for Rome. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The breakfast was 'okay' not the best but decent.

A very nice little hotel. The room was relatively large and very comfortable, though the bed was low to the floor and somewhat difficult to get out of. The only really disappointing thing was that the hotel has no restaurant. The breakfast provided was very good, with a good variety of foods and drinks. The outstanding feature was the staff:...

A short walk from the main train station is one of its biggest perks. But since we walked everywhere, it was a little too far away from the main attractions. Would have preferred something more centrally located (this hotel was chosen for us as part of a tour through Gate 1 Travel). Staff was exceptional, breakfast was good, bar prices...

Hotel is nice and clean. It is also near the train station. You can catch the hop on hop off bus near by. Theres a restaurant across from it and a few right around the block. Great hotel for the price. The bar area and bar staff was great. Everyone there was helpful especially Gioseppe. He really went out his...

I stayed there 2 nights with friends. The hotel is 5 minutes by walk to the Roma Termini. Breakfast is nice. Rooms are really old. Beds are not comfortable and not clean enough, I had to cover the pillows with my t-shirts! This is definetly not a 4 star hotel. But the price is quite reasonable when compare what you...

We booked this trip for $599 through Groupon which included air, hotel and breakfast. We were concerned about the hotel due to the deal we got on Groupon but we were pleasantly surprised. The location was great and ½ block to the Metro B line and about 3 blocks from Termini station which had access to all lines to access...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
