We travelled here with my in-laws and stayed a week at the property. Considering we had paid for two upgraded rooms, I was disappointed that our room was considerably less 'grand' than my husband's parents (although glad that they were so happy with their accommodations!). They had a separate dressing room area that made the rest of the space so much bigger when you could tuck your luggage away, completely out of sight. We asked to be moved to a similar room (which was the same upgrade level, it just depended on what 'line' of room you received), and eventually it did happen, but not without some coaxing. Not the best way to start the trip, but I'm glad we made the request because once we were in the new room we had absolutely no complaints. The hotel is spotless; lovely linens, and the bathrooms are classic marble elegance the way only Italy can do.
We are from NYC, so we did not find the prices of food or beverages unreasonable, but given our hometown our perception may be skewed.
The hotel's neighborhood is well positioned for traversing the city - there's a metro entrance directly adjacent to the property - and it feels safe to walk around comfortably. We did not eat much in the area because many establishments felt like 'we saw you coming' tourist traps, but happy to be able to take a late evening stroll by the gardens and feel safe doing so.
Once we are allowed to consider traveling again, we will definitely be back.

There is just nothing special about this Marriott. The rooms/bathroom are ridiculously small even by European standards and the breakfast buffet is just plain weak. The staff are nice but not a lot of redeeming features to this place. What I found particularly disconcerting is how they do not offer much in terms of benefits to loyalty members. There is no lounge so they give 1,000 points - this is meaningless. And forget about any upgrades. Definitely not on par with most Marriotts

We were among the first guests to stay at the Marriott in Rome after the Hotel was closed for some time due to the pandemic. The hotel‘s interior is mostly brand new after a recent remodeling has just been finished. The rooms are done in a very tasteful manner. The staff is willing to help beyond expectations.
The hotel restaurants are still mostly closed, and breakfast is served in the restaurant on the ground floor. Nevertheless, quality of service and food during breakfast is nothing short of the highest expectations. You basically order any item you would like to have, since buffets are not allowed these days.
The gym and the rooftop terrace (great views of the Vatican!) were open to use. Once traffic will pick up, I am sure the rooftop restaurant will be a great location for breakfast.
The hotel is conveniently located next to the Park Villa Borghese and about 15-20min Walk to the major sites in Rome. There is an abundance of restaurants in the immediate vicinity, mostly to the west of the hotel.
All in all: Two thumbs up!

Our frustrations with this hotel started a few moments after checking in. The lobby layout is somewhat strange, and there's no way to get to the elevator without going up a (small) flight of steps. This might not sound bad, but when you've traveled all day, the last thing you really want to do is carry luggage up any amount of stairs.

Our room was a combination of disappointing and frustrating. I'm used to smaller rooms across Europe compared to those in the states, but this room was so small we couldn't walk around the bed without bumping into the TV, the wall, or the bed. The decor looks as if it was last updated around the same time Home Alone 2 was made. The green marble, brass plating and door knobs, and telephone by the toilet really took me back to the early-mid 90s. The shower was another frustration. The lack of a full shower door (there was about a 8 inch gap between the glass and the wall) or even a seal at the bottom of the door meant that every time we took a shower the bathroom floor got soaked despite our best efforts to keep it dry. I tried turning the shower head towards the wall and still managed to get water on the floor. When you're paying rates as high as the ones at this hotel, you expect things to be a little more modern.

Breakfast was yet another disappointment. It's €30 per person and only has a very small selection: a few hot options, DIY waffles, and a small selection of pastries. The view may be nice, but the lack of selection and slow service don't justify the cost.

This hotel is simply over-priced. We stayed in a significantly nicer hotel in Venice the same week we stayed here and paid about $800 less; the other hotel's rates included a very large breakfast buffet, easily twice the size of this hotel's, and had a shower that didn't create a slip hazard. The rates are just too high for what you get. If the hotel was closer to the attractions that bring people to Rome to begin with, I might understand, but it's not.

I've been a Marriott customer for a long time, and usually prefer them over other brands. This hotel just doesn't live up to the same set of expectations that other Marriott hotels do. We won't be back.

We have been in many, many Marriott hotels, as titanium elite members. However, although we had a really nice room (high floor suite, as booked) there was nothing in the form of an upgrade, nor does this hotel have anything like a lounge. So, elite members, be aware. Breakfast (included in our booking) was on the top-floor terrace which is gorgeous, but the breakfast itself is not worth the price (30 or 35€?). Of course they will claim that this is due to Covid, but in the same trip we were in Venice and had a great breakfast menu for the same price. The buffet breakfast is to be ordered at a bench, and the choices are each day exactly the same. Ham and cheese are the only choices, besides fruits (melon, pineapple), yoghurt, scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, and on our last day, when we came early at 6:45 there were no rolls. We only could get a few small toast (5x5 cm) from the kitchen, or pastry (sweet). The boiled eggs which we ordered one day never arrived. We were allowed, after asking(!) one bottle (0.5 liter) of water from the in-room bar as complimentary (as elite members!). Otherwise, the staff was friendly (with exception of the servant which served at the breakfast buffet).
One very happy mentioning: stting outside on the street and ordering a Prosecco from the bar is great. They have very well tasting Prosecco.

As a long time Marriott guest I have one recommendation to Marriott: get this hotel up to the Marriott brand standard, or give it a lower class standard then 'Marriott'.

One tip: for those who come by car, we have experienced that multiple navigation tools do not get the location correct. Once you get through the old town-wall, onto the Via Vitterio Veneto, the hotel is immediately (50 meters or less) on your left, a bit difficult to see through the trees.

Hotel is a good location but the room at the front of the hotel which we were given was very noisy - pretty much all through the night. We chose a double double room which has 2 bedrooms, which on the website claimed to be on the higher floors overlooking the park, this was not the case. The second bedroom didn’t even have a mirror in it, the windows fully opened which I thought was unusual from a safety perspective, and in the main bedroom the window handle could be removed…..again very strange or just poor maintenance? Premium prices for very basic accommodation. Our room never got cleaned the day before we left, I asked for clean towels but these didn’t arrive until late in the evening.
The roof top restaurant staff and the door staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok but the rest of the staff were very unfriendly everything seemed to be an effort.
Whilst there was coffee and tea in the room, I would have expected at least a coffee machine rather than instant Nescafé and a kettle. There was only one English Channel on the tv and this was BBC world news so don’t expect to be able to catch anything worthy of watching.
All in all not the greatest of Marriott hotels (I’ve stayed in plenty), wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend unfortunately.

A 2 star hotel.
They do not understand the meaning of customer service but charged an exuberant price for their rooms.
No curbside help at 6;30pm on a weekday.
The staff is not efficient. Doorman stood chatting with front desk staff while we dragged our large luggage through the main glass doors with no help.
He looked over and then smiled as we made it to the desk. Very rude!
The front desk staff was not friendly, gave us our key with room number.
Breakfast staff was nice on roof top but male manager was very arrogant and rude. Ordered coffee and juice and when asked for more juice was charged additional $6 for another 5 oz glass.
Gym is the size of a small bathroom- located in basement with very little equipment.
Finally, no extra bottled water in the room, no body lotion, no mouthwash when requested, only 2 large towels and 1 washcloth.
STAY at the HOTEL EDEN it's amazing in every way!!!

We stayed here from Dec 23 - Dec 30, 2022. It was such a wonderful experience. We booked the Christmas brunch on the terrace and it too was terrific. Our family booked two rooms and both were comfortable and clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the beds were better than most hotels. Our room had a view of the Borghese Gardens and we left the windows open every day. It was so beautiful. I used the business center multiple times to print out tickets and maps. From the rooftop terrace you have a beautiful view of the city. There are couches and tables on the street out front for guests we could have used but never had the time after all of our sightseeing!

The hotel is near a metro entrance and two bus locations. Nearby is a great breakfast spot called Moma Cafe. We were able to grab a quick espresso and croissant each morning. The best dinner we had was nearby at Vladimiro’s on Via Aurora. You will need a reservation. Most of the time we went to other neighborhoods to eat because we wanted more local spots for food.

I highly recommend this hotel. We almost didn’t stay here because of the location (afraid we’d be walking too far each day) but in the end we were glad we did. I recommend you get a CIS pass for unlimited 7 day travel on public transit for 24 euro. It was worth it. We took a few early morning taxis to make tour times but otherwise the buses from this location were sufficient. Know that on Christmas Day and the day after, buses and metro run on a limited schedule.

We were booked to stay at the Marriott Grand Flora hotel in September 2020 for four nights. The pandemic resulted in cancellation of our trip. The airlines, cruise line, and other hotels issued refunds or credit vouchers immediately. It took months of emails and phone calls to get a credit voucher from this hotel, booked through hotels.com. We had a non-refundable booking but understood that the Italian government advised hotels to issue credit vouchers on non-refundable bookings because the pandemic was an unprecedented event. We are traveling to Italy this autumn but this hotel has no rooms available on the hotels.com website through September 2022. We emailed the hotel, but had no response to our query about rebooking with credit voucher. We hold a $1400 credit voucher that is absolutely worthless. WARNING: Do not recommend booking with this hotel.

The Hotel staff were very hospitable. The breakfasts were amazing. Something for just about each culture and the terrace had a lovely view. We so enjoyed starting our mornings at the Roma Hotel. The air conditioning was so nice to come back to after a long, hot day of site seeing. The beds were very comfortable and they came in everyday to leave fresh bathroom towels and accessories, plus a little chocolate on our pillows for an evening finish. I would highly recommend this hotel to all.

The taxi has a fixed 48 Euro price from the airport to the hotel do not pay more! To the port the best bet is to hire a driver it should be about a hundred and twenty euros and they can take you right out to the cruise terminal
