From the moment we pulled up to the hotel, we knew it was going to be wonderful. The doorman, Enrico greeted us warmly. Stepping into the hotel, it was like stepping back several hundred years, it was beautiful. The front desk personnel was gracious, friendly and helpful. Our room was on the fifth floor and we had a terrace, it...

stunning hotel in an amazing setting - near to the Spanish steps and Via condotti - a short stroll to trevi fountain too. Full of history and very unique styling this was a very romantic hotel. The restaurant Romano was superb with delicious food and the breakfast was the best I have had in a hotel in Italy.

Terrible room, not 5 star that's for sure! I would rate the room at 3-1/2 star at best. Terrible bathroom and shower (inside small tub). Only 2 english news channels on tv. No breakfast or WiFi included. Absolutely disgracefuul for a so called 5 star hotel. Ridiculous pricing as well.

This is a wonderful old hotel that was recently renovated. It still has its old world charm and looks. The room we had was very spacious with a little sitting area. There are a few sitting rooms on the first floor where you can play chess or read a book. The bar serves a yummy James Bond cocktail. All the...

We stay there for 3 nights recently. On one night was upgraded to a suite which was out of this world :) but to be fair, in this review, I will stick to the 2 nights in the Royal Deluxe Double Room. I read some detractors on the rooms probably different category. Ours was relatively spacious (for a city centre...

I stayed at the Hotel d'Inghilterra for three nights from 17 to 20 September 2013. Being an old (but recently refurbished) hotel, I didn't have high expectations for the room. It turned out to be small and a little bit claustrophobic as there was no window to look out to the exterior of the building or any natural light. The...

we've chosen this hotel to celebrate our 20th wedding aniversary and stayed 4 nights. Location is perfect. The hotel has been recently renewed. We got a room on the 4th floor that looked very nice when we came in, but the worst was yet to come. First we've noticed that we had no daylight in the room as the view...

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
