Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I am stayng at Hotel Barocco for my tour of Rome, Italy! The hotel has a great location near many historical sights and the staff are super professional and hospitable. Many sights are in walking distance of the hotel. There is also a Metro stop one block from the hotel.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed in mid July. By far the best hotel and best service we received in Italy! (We stayed at 4 places over the course of 16 days.). The staff called it “the Barocco way.” I call it superb! Friendly, helpful, guest-focused staff. The junior suite with suzano/plunge pool is out of this world! Amazing! Breakfast was delicious. The room and public areas were so clean and inviting. The neighborhood is excellent-Piazza Barberini! Near the Spanish steps. You do not need to look further. This is the place to stay in Rome!

What a fantastic hotel. From the very walkable location (we literally were able to walk to all the sites within max 20 mins), the cute boutique style of the hotel itself (very stylish decor, the most comfortable bed) to the absolute friendliest and most helpful staff that help make my birthday trip (and first time in Rome) so magical. Also the metro station is right around the corner so that too is a huge plus

If you are looking for a first rate European hotel in a superb location as opposed to a large franchise hotel, Hotel Barocco is an excellent choice. The hotel is located on the same piazza as a Metro station and a taxi stand, making travel to the major sites and the train station easy, even for first time visitors to Rome. Some attractions are only blocks away and in walking distance. The hotel staff is very helpful. Breakfast, including service, at the hotel is another reason to stay here.

Just wow !! Amazing hotel in the most perfect location for all tourist spots..shopping and some excellent food nearby... Reception staff very attentive nothing too much trouble. Rooms comfortable and spotless we were in superior room. We were 3 couples celebrating my friends 50th birthday. The communication between myself and the hotel was 1st class. The breakfast was perfect start to the day will all staff helping deliver a special start to the celebrations. The bar was our favourite with all staff being so friendly and the drinks were always spot on and cocktails superb. They even helped us with pre dinner fizz and nibbles to start our special evening. We all would 100% book this hotel if we returned to Rome.

We stayed in the Junior Suite and the room was absolutely wonderful, just as pictured and the weather was mild so we were able to enjoy the balcony! My husband and I arrived at the hotel around 11 p.m. and even though the kitchen was closed and the bar was empty (and soon to be closing) Marco (server/bartender/awesome guy) whipped up some meat/cheese for us and wine! He chatted with us and made us feel so very welcome on our first night! The entire staff is excellent, breakfast is phenomenal and the room was comfy! We loved the location, close enough to walk to many sites but also far enough from all the congestion. We were on our delayed honeymoon and everyone made sure to wish us well, they even gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne (in our room) upon arrival. I couldn't have more positive things to say! This was my 3rd time in Rome and my husband's second, and I will say this was the best hotel I have stayed in in Rome. We highly recommend this perfect boutique hotel, it embodies all of the charm of Italy!

Really lovely hotel. Great situation in walking distance of all the main sites. It was our second stay here (the last was six years ago) and have to say it lived up to all our memories and expectations! We had a really comfy room again and everywhere was kept spotlessly clean. Breakfast was lovely too. More than we could eat!! Just as important though, we have to say that the hotel staff are incredibly helpful and very friendly! What a wonderful stay, a real treat!

Great location within a short walking distance to metro and bus stations. Very professional personnel that always greeted us with a big smile and immediately responded to our requests.. Our room had a beautiful view to the square and the fountain. The bed was quite comfortable and the the bathroom had all necessary amenities. Breakfast is quite rich.

My recent stay at Hotel Barocco in Rome on Jan. 28th and Jan. 29th left me with mixed feelings. The hotel is undeniably beautiful, and the reception service was good. The location, convenient to the metro station, made exploring Rome quite easy. While the rooms were gorgeously decorated, they were noticeably small. Booking a double room, I expected a bit more space, and the compact size was a bit limiting. One notable downside occurred during check-out. Despite multiple attempts to reach the front desk for assistance with my luggage early in the morning, I received no response. Eventually, I had to manage my luggage myself. Fortunately, I encountered a hotel front desk clerk as I was about to leave my room keys with a note at the desk, and they were able to assist me promptly. In conclusion, Hotel Barocco offers a beautiful setting with good reception service and a convenient location. However, the limited room space and the lack of responsiveness during check-out are areas that could be improved to enhance the overall guest experience.
