Hotel was cute, quiet. Everyone was nice, Tony was a joy! Always ready with a smile and a recommendation. Breakfast was continental and plenty to eat. Be advised that it is 25 steps up to get to the lobby. I do not believe there was a lift for that part. But once you are in the lobby there is a...

Close to termini station (8 minute walk from where the airport bus arrives/departs) also close to metro station for quick travel to so many sights. Lots of shopping and restaurants in the area too and yet quiet for a good night sleep. The bed was on the hard side but after a few nights we got used to it. Staff...

Dear guest! On behalf of all the staff we want to thank you for your positive comments we have read very carefully. We did a test to look for the bad smell that you mentioned, and frankly we did not find anything particularly unpleasant; however we took the opportunity to do a wash of the entire water system of the...

For the most of it, is a good hotel. Let's start work the advantages, its location is excellent (700mts from central station, less than 500mts from a subway station, around 1.5km walking distance from most sites), the staff is very friendly, bathrooms look renovated and its clean, though little bit old. For the cons, the biggest one is the huge...

Nice, clean hotel. Polite and helpfull staff available 24 hours a day. Stayed in a triple room with looots of space, and a very big bathroom. The decoration was a little outdated but ok... No wifi signal in our room on the second floor. Great breakfast but the dining room was tiny and we had to wait for a table....

I stayed 5 nights at the Lirico located in a very central part of Rome right next to the opera theatre. The room was not overly big but it had a good sized ensuite. Best part was its extensive breakfast menu catering to both local and western tastes. Be warned that to reach reception you have to climb up a...

Locate Great location, clean and accommodating staff. I don't like the stairways to the main desk especially I got two luggages to carry. The hotel staff helped us with the luggage though. Overall I like the hotel accessible to trains, bus and taxis.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
