Just back from holiday and although the hotel is a little way out, it is a quiet location which we wanted. It is a 45 minute walk to the Spanish steps. Bus 360 stops a five minute walk from the hotel. You can buy a ticket for 1.50 euros per person in newsagents, and you can use the ticket for either the bus or tram (I think metro as well, but there aren't any stops close buy). When you get on the bus or tram you have to fed your ticket into a machine to get it stamped to validated it, you then have 100 minutes of travel. The tram stop is a 10 to 15 minutes walk away and you can get on by the Hilton Garden Hotel and it drops off on the other side of the road by the Tigre supermarket (handy for picking up food etc). The tram is number 19 and takes you down to the vicinity of Vatican City.

Our flight was delayed and we arrived just after 9.30pm and the hotel restaurant was just about to close. However the hotel staff kept the restaurant open for us so that we could get a hot meal, so pretty impressed with that.

We had tickets for the Vatican City tour which had to be confirmed by phone, and the hotel staff were more than happy to call ahead for us.

Watch out for the Rome bracelet scam! You say no but before you know it the seller is telling you it is free and starts putting it on your wrist, the out comes the phone with a picture of a new born they have to support. My advice is to keep a few euros in your pocket in case this happens to you, because if you get out your wallet you could end up parting with 30 euros like I did! It was hard for me to say no (being female) and I felt quite vulnerable when he kept asking for more. Even better advice walk away quickly (I was sat down at the time with my two children and a complete sitting duck!). Lots of them at Spanish Steps and around Vatican City area.

Another tip, if you book a tour don't bother booking a transfer, we did for our trip to the colosseum but the transfer dropped us at the wrong spot and we missed out on our tour (ended up paying another tour company by the colosseum to join the end of one of their tours). The 360 bus takes you within a 15 minute walk of the colosseum all for 1.50! I paid £42 to the tour operator for the transfer from the hotel! Won't make that mistake again.

Despite the few hiccups we had an amazing time and pleased with our choice of hotel (although was not keen on the small one person lift). A very pleasant and clean hotel.

The hotel is located away from the hustle and bustle of central Rome in a quiet neighborhood, but within easy reach via the bus which is only 5 mins walk away. For 1.50 Euros you can use the bus plus 1 ride on the metro or tram within 100 mins. The tram is 10 mins walk away and goes direct to the Vatican (about 25 mins) which is very convenient.
The staff is very friendly and provided great hospitality. They allowed us to check in early per our request. the rooms are very clean and spacious and we would definitely stay there again.

We are a family of 2 parents and 2 teenagers who shared a very nice quad room with a double and 2 single beds.
The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. And we enjoyed the great breakfast buffet with many choices. We had dinner in the restaurant several days with a fine selection of meals to choose from at a very reasonable price.

Nice family friendly hotel set in a residential area. Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Very rich breakfast buffet offering also hot drinks such as fresh coffee and cappuccino made to order. Good food at very reasonable prices is served for lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant, both indoors and in the private garden. Very friendly staff throughout. No hesitation in recommending this hotel for visiting Rome.

Hello,
we just loved this place. It is clean and the staff is so friendly. We loved our rooms. we have 2 kids that are teens and we got 2 rooms with a joined door and having that open; it gave the impression of being in a small apartment. The breakfast and dinner were delicious with so much variety of food. A shout out to our dear Claudio and Enrique who made sure we were always taken care of.

We stayed at the Hotel delle Muse for 5 nights, staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. So much choice for breakfast and all very fresh, we ate twice in the dining room in the evening. Three courses for €22 excellent value. In a quiet residential area but the 360 bus takes you into Rome €1.50 for ticket validate on the bus. Turn right for the trams 10 minute walk away get the 19 tram to the end of the line for Vatican City and Castell sant Angelo. All in all excellent stay.

Everything was perfect at this hotel!
Starting with a great breakfast, spacious and clean room, the beautiful terrace and the peaceful area where the hotel is located.

It's not centrally located but is well connected with bus number 360, which will take you in just 20 minutes to the central Termini station.

We are especially delighted with the kindness of the staff at this hotel. Everyone was fantastic, from the smiling maids, the waiters, to the friendly receptionists.

A special highlight to receptionist Claudio, who solved all our requests promptly and with a smile.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Thank you for a pleasant time, we will definitely be back again.

Nice hotel on outskirts of Rome. Very convenient for bus stop into city centre (3 minute walk). Good breakfast selection and a varied menu should you want to have dinner there. Friendly and helpful staff, rooms are quite large, some with balconies, and although it's an older establishment, the decor, while not contemporary, is perfectly acceptable. Would definitely stay there again.

Arrived for 5 nights with fiancee. Very clean rooms. Staff very polite and welcoming. Easy to get to centre of Rome via bus 360. Area is not a tourist area but very local Italian. Plenty of cafe / bistro to snack. 5 minutes on bus to many Restaurants. Would recommend this Hotel. Breakfast has a large selection of continental choices.

Hello ! Fiumicino Airport is approx. 45 KM far from Hotel delle Muse. There are various ways to arrive from Fiumicino Airport to Hotel Delle Muse: 1) You can take a white cab (taxi) from the airport to the Hotel. The price, luggage included, will be approx. 55-80 euro . Please be careful! At the airport, after customs, do not hire the people waiting outside as they offer unlicensed transport to Rome. Instead ,go straight to the Exit where you will find licensed cabs waiting in line. 2) Alternatively, you can take the shuttle train from the airport to the railway station, Stazione Termini. From Stazione Termini you can take either bus n°360muse,direction Piazza Delle Muse (approx.20 minutes) or a cab (approx 17-22 euro, luggage included) to the hotel. Here, again, do not pay attention to people offering transportation or hotels but go to the central or lateral exit of the station. There you will find licensed cabs waiting in line. You cant buy bus tickets on the bus but only at newspaper stands or Tobacco shops. If you have any problem upon your arrival at the hotel contact the concierge before you pay the driver, and we will be happy to assist you. 3) Shuttle train from Fiumicino airport to Stazione Termini: FIRST train 07.37 - LAST train at 22.37. The journey lasts twenty minutes. Thanks! Best regards Hotel delle Muse
