Our agent added two nights stay before a cruise to see the sites of Rome, so we are not sure of the exact cost of the hotel separately. The hotel reception staff were very helpful with maps and advice of getting around. The breakfast was limited and needed restocking several times. The room was adequate but the shower and corridors and stairs would not suit larger than average people. Location was fine for us as we walked everywhere. Two other guests suggested Pinsere pizza bakers a short walk away, so we did not eat in the hotel restaurant.

Dear Guest, thank you for your review. We are happy to read the nice words for our STAFF! Regarding the breakfast service, we can assure you that in addition to fruit from cans we always have fresh seasonal fruit such as apples, bananas, kiwis, oranges, pineapple, strawberries and tangerines. We would like to mention also other courses you could find on the buffet table such as cakes, cornflakes, croissants of all kinds, jams, ready-sliced meat and yogurts (just to name a few). The products are the same of the pictures. We suggest you to come back booking your room directly from our official website, so you will know how munch you spend and you will see the best rates available! See you soon, regards Stefano

We stayed at the Hotel Oxford for 4 nights in February 2020. We found the hotel to be very clean, staff polite and a wonderful base for all of our travels in Rome. Very budget friendly too and we felt safe at the hotel.
The location of the hotel was what made the holiday for us, a short walk into the main tourist streets of Rome, and we often used the Uber bikes to get from the hotel to the main tourist area and this only took a few minutes, but only around a 10 minute walk anyways. The shop next door was brilliant also.
We only found two issues with this hotel - breakfast and the stairwells.
We stayed for breakfast one morning, and never again. The food was bland and not much choice at all, especially for the price, i would recommend skipping this and purchasing food from the supermarket next door or a bakery or somewhere if you don't want to pay restaurant prices.
The stairwells were fine for us as a young relatively fit and healthy couple, and there was also a lift too, but both the lift and stairwells were extremely narrow, which may be as to be expected in a small hotel in Rome, however if you had a large suitcase, low mobility or a slightly larger size, this may be a problem for you and we didn't find the hotel to be very disabled friendly AT ALL, as the lifts very narrow, and in the corner of very narrow corridors.

A traditional Italian style hotel with friendly staff and good selection at breakfast, including fresh fruit, croissants, pastries, toast, cereal and eggs, frankfurters and bacon.

For us the location was a bit far out from local attractions, it’s a good half hour walk to Spanish steps and Trevi fountain.

The hotel room was cleaned every day with fresh towels and toiletries replenished.

In our room we felt it needed updating and the plug socket/wires hanging out the wall was very dangerous.

We recently spent three nights in the Hotel Oxford. I chose it because of its proximity to sights. It is within walking distance of the Spanish Steps (10-15 mins) Trevi Fountain & Pantheon (20 mins) and Corso. The nearest metro station is on the blue line, three or four stops from Colosseo, and just over 1km away. Termini station is a 20-minute walk.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We had room 256 which was towards the back of the hotel near the courtyard (not a view) so it was pretty quiet although there isn't much sound proofing between the bathrooms in 256 and 258 as I could hear when they used their bathroom/toilet if I left our bathroom door open! The room has a mini fridge and there is a supermarket next door, so that was really useful. Breakfast is continental: cereal, yoghurt, meat, cheese, toast and croissants - plenty of food that was kept topped up.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Check out is at 11am but we weren't leaving until 2.30pm so they arranged a taxi to the airport (50 euros flat rate) and held our bag without issue.

Stayed for 2 nights. Room basic but relatively comfortable. The hotel is in a good location within a short walk to local transport and some main sites. Breakfast is based around continental although some hot food was available. One thing to consider the lift only goes to the second floor so book a room on this floor or below if you want to avoid stairs as they are steep.

Fantastic stay at the Hotel Oxford. The location is ideal with the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Villa Boghese all within walkable distance. We were quite energetic and even walked to the Colosseum and Travestere.

The Hotel was spotlessly clean throughout. The staff are really friendly and cannot do enough to help you.

Food was good. We had buffet breakfast most morning and the dinner was enjoyable and had a varied selection on the menu.

The room was an adequate size although the bed was a bit hard for our liking. A flat screen TV with a variety on international channels was available. The shower had good water pressure though was a bit on the small side.

Overall a really enjoyable stay and we would certainly stay here again.

Hotel Oxford is such a lovely hotel, it's quite a traditional style which is why me and my partner originally booked. Staff were extremely accommodating and friendly the best staff experience either of us have had which made the biggest difference so thank you for being so friendly and gave us suggestions on how to get about rome and what to visit. rooms were absolutely spotless can't fault them either, when booking please remember this is an old building which has a narroe staircase and the elevator only goes to the 2nd floor so if on floor 3 like we were you have to walk a flight of stairs which was fine for us but if disabled i wouldn't recommend staying here if you need wheelchair access as the lift is too small to fit a wheelchair. Other than that I have nothing negative to say would happily stay here again. Thanks Hotel Oxford for being fantastic hosts.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Our first time in Rome and this Hotel didn't disappoint us. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
If you are looking for somewhere to eat at night there is no better place than in the hotel itself, the beef fillet was out of this world, coupled also with an extensive wine list at very reasonable prices. We found the hotel perfectly situated for all of Rome"s attractions and the next time we visit Rome we'll be staying at the Oxford.

We stayed at the Oxford Hotel for 4 nights

I cannot fault any of the staff they couldn’t do anything more for us. So helpful and polite. The guy in the bar area was hilarious. The reception desk gave out detailed maps with all the key areas showing.

The room was really clean the shower was out of this world powerful. A downside for me was the bed was so hard!!! My husband had the best 4 nights sleep. I personally think the floor would have been softer. Our room was a little on the small side and a very tight bathroom but perfect for what we needed. We were in an inside room on the second floor overlooking the courtyard and no real noise.

Small supermarket next door but one to the hotel useful for water and snacks. Also cheaper than the mini bar drinks.

At the very end of the street (Spanish steps end) the hop on hop off bus stops so was convenient and saved your feet. We used Greenline.

Breakfast: Bacon and scrambled eggs cooked to order and then a continental breakfast with amazing pastries.
Hotel drinks: drinks from late afternoon served with some snacks (crisps, pretzel type lovely things, nuts). The guy serving was so helpful and helped with a bag of ice each evening as I sprained my ankle on the second day.

Downside: The hotel was a little bit far out for us and up a hill. After a long day walking about if you came back to the hotel I felt trapped and struggled to find any restaurants close to the hotel. The hard rock was the nearest one. Everything else was back towards the Spanish steps (about 15 minutes walk) and most didn’t look to be open till after 7pm. Otherwise you had to head back in towards the Spanish steps and neighbouring streets.

A lovely, well located hotel with friendly staff. The breakfast was plentiful. My only issue was that there was no fruit available, despite this being included in the hotel promo photographs. There was a small fridge in the room stocked with water & soft drinks, but no tea or coffee making facilities. Otherwise the perfect place to stay.

European 2 pin. Our room had only 2 single sockets on the far walk away from the bed. They provide a multi-way socket so we could charge phones at the same time etc. Wiring ( and plumbing) is probably original 1960’s

Yeah as the others say it is tiny, enough for 2 people and a suitcase. Though the service chap brings your cases up.

Just did this. The Leonardo Express goes from the airport directly to Rome Central. It is cheap but don't remember exactly how much. Don't forget to validate your ticket before you get on the train. Taxis are right outside the station. The Oxford is just over 1 km away and costs about €10
