Very nice stay. The room was unexpectedly large, very clean, and modern in style. The attached bathroom was also modern and had a nice shower. The hotel is located in a building with several floors dedicated to other things, however the hotel is on the 2nd floor. There is a breakfast in the am, but we didn't make it. The hotel is located in a very nice part of Rome and there are restaurants nearby.

The location of the hotel is in one of the most cozy districts, full of embassies and some shops/restaurants. Also there is a taxi station right outside (no need to bother with apps). Everything is perfectly walkable, plenty of bus stops and metro. The staff was absolutely lovely and helpful, especially the lady who checked us in late in the night when we arrived. Breakfasts are much better than expected, they make you fresh coffee and you can have a pretty filling breakfast to start your day. Rooms are well equipped and also with AC, got all you need. They also pay attention to detail, for instance there was a mini fridge in our room and every time we came back it was filled with cold water which was very much appreciated. I felt really welcomed and I am pretty sure whenever I come back to Rome, we will book here again.

We booked the Suite, which was very spacious: living room, bathroom with tub, and bedroom with queen bed (or perhaps slightly larger). For the price, it was a tremendous amount of space (seems very difficult to find a room in Rome with even a single chair to sit in!). The suite faced an interior courtyard and was very quiet. The mattress and pillows were quite comfortable, on the firm side which I prefer. The AC/heating units in the living room and bedroom were quiet and functional (another review someplace complained that they were noisy, this was not our experience). Breakfast was better than I expected, and included coffee, yummy pastry, hard boiled eggs and yogurt, some cold meats and cheese. All of the staff were extremely friendly. The neighborhood was quiet, but with everything you need nearby (proper supermarket in the building, espresso bars and restaurants nearby). The location is about 30 minutes walking distance to many historical sites; we were happy to get our steps in, but returning for a mid-day pit stop was at times inconvenient. A few things in the room were a bit run down, for example some of the furniture was past its prime (though still functional), and the bed linens were a little threadbare. Instead of an electronic key card, you had to carry around physical keys for the building, the room, and the room safe; maybe this is typical for a boutique hotel in Rome, but I especially would have preferred a safe with numeric code rather than worry about the key. As other reviews mention, entering the building is a bit confusing. One tip: when you arrive, go right and take the elevator to the 5th floor to check in—but have someone stay downstairs with the luggage, because the room is located on the other side of the building on the 2nd floor.

We stayed on our way through Rome for one night. The rooms are very clean and the bed was fine and an adequate breakfast. Our room was very quiet. The location is ok if you need access to the main train terminal but not as convenient to historic sites. The only slightly odd thing was that there is no onsite staff at night and the door to the main corridor / stairwell of the building did not lock. If I had been travelling alone I might have felt uncomfortable coming home in the evening.

We got into Rome late and got a warm welcome from a staff member in this boutique hotel. It's a quirky place, but has loads of charm. Our suite was lovely and very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was simple continental fare, but did the trick for us. The hotel is brilliantly located within a short walk of the metro to visit the Vatican Museum and St. Peter's Basilica. We walked most of the time though, as many of the big tourist attractions are within 15/30 minutes on foot. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Deko Rome and would highly recommend it.

Traveling with a friend. Great location, we walked everywhere (ages 59 and 54) from hotel ans saw everything. Convenient, great restaurant recommendations provided. Safe area, very quiet. Room clean, bed comfy, breakfast great and plentiful. We had an early flight our last morning and our hostess Julia came in early to make sure we had breakfast before our driver arrived even though it was before normal breakfast hours. She was so warm and friendly and definitely added to our experience with this lovely little gem. If I am lucky enough to return to Rome ( I threw a coin in the Trevi and it worked this first time, so here's hoping) I would definitely stay here again.

It is a beautiful and unique place. It is both elegant and very intimate. The hotel is probably a converted office space. It is in a well maintained art deco building and the rooms and public areas of the hotel echo the theme. It is very refreshing to see a different style after seeing (admittedly gorgeous) renaissance buildings. The rooms are beautifully decorated in bold, contrasting colors. Yet, it was very relaxing to enter the room after a full day. It is in an accessible and fairly central location. Easy walk to 2 different metro stations and a bus stop. There is an express supermarket literally next door to the building. The staff are amazing. They provide a warm atmosphere, keep the hotel spotless, and make breakfast. I felt... pampered (that is a good word for the type of service we got). It was personalized and all requests were honored. Julia provided us with restaurant suggestions and even best streets for shopping boutiques at our arrival. We tried out a lot of the suggestions and left very satisfied. Both Julia and the night attendant are so friendly and warm. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay there again! Hopefully that occasion will be soon!

Arranged a private transfer from FCO to the hotel, definitely worthwhile, all in price for passengers and luggage, the driver even took us into the hotel. No palatial entrance, just a private door into an historic multi use building, offices and boutique style hotels in a quiet (for Rome) side street in the Embassy district of town. 6 rooms well appointed, good value for money. Excellent hosts who take time to highlight the main attractions to see on a short break. Welcomed with a drink and then spent some time explaining where all the places to visit were, even recommended the lesser used entrances to the Colosseum, and they were much quieter than the main one most people use. Recommended restaurants, cafes, ice cream places..all good. Recommend.

We had a great stay at Deko! The service was outstanding, friendly and informative, the room was spotless and well fitted out. Breakfast was also perfect, with cereal, fresh fruit, meat, cheese, croissant and bread with fruit juice and fresh coffee. We look forward to returning soon.
