I stayed for four nights and the property met all my needs in terms of price and location. Claudia was a thoughtful and extremely kind hostess. She arranged taxis from and to the airport and provided helpful directions for getting around. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Excellent value at a low cost.

I spent two nights at the B&B Oro 283 and it could not have been better. I arrived very late on the first evening and Claudia and her husband very kindly waited up late and could not have been more welcoming. I was attending a conference the next day, and they kindly helped me out with directions and ensured that I had everything I needed. A lovely place with fantastic hosts!

Just spent two nights in the B&B Oro 283, and I had a wonderful visit. The reservation of the room went incredibly fast, and Claudia was very helpful in making sure I had all information needed prior to arrival, including being very accomodating about my arrival time, and giving me directions upon arrival to the location of my business meeting. The bedroom was comfortable, clean and quiet, and the bathroom I used was wonderfully appointed and very clean. The heart of the B&B is the breakfast room, which Claudia has filled with numerous goodies, including an amazing homemade apricot tarte which she offered us on the second day of the visit. I felt more than welcome here. Claudia has a gift for hospitality, and staying at her B&B makes you feel like a special family guest. A great place to stay.

Where to start..... Claudia made me feel welcome before I left Australia. The friendliness she conveyed through her emails is what you get when you arrive. I got lost after getting off the train on my arrival and her son Leonardo came and picked me up. Claudia, unfortunately had to have an operation during my stay so I was disappointed not to see her again. Massimiliano took over and was also extremely helpful. What a great family! I stayed for 6 days. They gave me great advice about where to go and how to get there. Fresh warm pastries for breakfast were delivered on several occasions as well as the usual daily choice for breakfast. The apartment was lovely, clean and in a good neighbourhood. The bus stop was in front of the apartment with easy access to the city and sights. The price was competitive and affordable. I would not stay anywhere else if I returned to Rome! I hope you are feeling better Claudia and wish you and your family all the best. Alison

We --four of us, wife, daughter, granddaughter and myself-- have just returned from our 17 day trip to Europe (Dallas via Dublin to Rome, Florence, Turin/Oulx (visit to sister and husband), Paris, London, Dublin and back to Dallas). I am a rather meticulous researcher. Starting in October 2012, I read countless reviews on hotels, B&B's, etc., planned out which sights to see, which airlines, buses, trains to take, where to find grocery stores, etc. For our three day stay in Rome, I finally selected B&B Oro 283. From the very beginning, Claudia was most helpful. She answered my many email questions and helped me with our reservation. She suggested that we take a cab (Euro 40), from the Da Vinci (Fiumicino) Airport to their B&B instead of taking two trains (for about the same price for the four of us). That was a great time and stress saver. Even though we arrived about three hours before check in time (4:00pm), we were warmly greeted by Claudia's husband, Massimiliano. He answered all our questions (in English), gave us many helpful suggestions and provided us with some maps. He came by every morning to check on everything, answer questions, etc. One morning, he surprised us and the other lodger, a very friendly Australian, with fresh, warm brioches. Lasting impressions: The B&B Oro 283 was spotless. Our rooms (with TV's) were spacious and immaculate. The bathroom, with endless hot water, was spacious and spotless. The dining room was also spotless and had an ample self-serve supply of toast, biscuits, crackers, jelly, butter, coffee, tea, milk, juices, available all day long! Our rooms, the dining room and the bathroom were cleaned every day. Most importantly, the hosts/owners, Claudia and Massimiliano, were welcoming, friendly, helpful and truly interested in making our stay at their B&B and in Rome a most memorable and enjoyable experience. They succeeded. We just wish we could have stayed longer.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the B & B Oro, the decision was easy as we had read all of the reviews, all I can say is that it was like staying with a favourite family member. Claudio kindly collected us from the train station and her son Leonardo welcomed us to the B & B. We had a lovely clean room and our own bathroom. The B & B is situated in a lovely neighbourhood away from the touristy hustle bustle of the centre of Rome. We loved wondering around the neighbourhood and it was in a great location near the Citro underground Breakfast was ideal and Claudia made her homemade cakes which were delicous. Our return flight was not until night time and we were allowed to store our luggage at her house and leave the keys, Claudio was very trustworthy for allowing strangers into her home. We will definatley be back.... Thanks Claudia x

This is one of the best places I have stayed in Italy. Claudia, the host, was incredible, she picked us up from Cipro Metro and dropped us back there at the end of our stay. The B and B is located above the Vatican. It is very easy to reach all of the attractions in Rome from the Cipro metro station, (Line A), which is a 15-20 min walk away, or you can catch a bus directly outside the B and B which takes about 5 - 10mins. There are also plenty of good restaurants around and supermarkets. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable, we also had our own bathroom outside the room. The breakfast was also generous and filling - Claudia brought fresh pastries with her each morning and on Saturday she had made us a cake - it was to die for! We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you so much Claudia for an awesome three nights!
