Do not trust positive reviews on this website. The property describes itself incorrectly as it offers zero facilities. The place itself is as unmanned room in a ran down apartment block with no reception. Despite the fact that we were emailed twice about our arrival time there was nobody to let us into the property on arrival. the contact numbers...

We get out of our train from Venice and look at our cell phone as soon as we could find free wifi around. Surprise! We find three messages asking for arrival time and a fourth saying RESERVATION SUSPENDED. That's it. We're left of the side of the road with no one to answer. Tried to call the number provided... No...

BEWARE! hidden service charge on top on room rate, despicable service! Also, i received an email this morning from booking.com thanking me for a review which i had left. I did not write a review, the owner of the property used my booking reference to log in and leave himself a review, outrageous! Check the recent reviews on booking.com out,...

Last minute panic due to delayed flight, booking site allowed me to book a late checkin, received texted from hotel advising room cancelled, telephoned hotel staff very unhelpful, had to rush to find alternative. Do not book this hotel if you need to checkin after 8:30 pm

It was really close to central train station and bus terminal, so you can easily access the public transportation. Room was nicely decorated and clean. Except shower. Shower was old and dirty.Staff was really helpful.

we stayed just one night to catch the train to Florence the next morning. The room's clean we don't mind the fact that it's small at all. There's free wi-fi and warm water. It's a small and quiet place. The manager's really nice. The next morning we left early so we just dropped the key in the room. It's very...

A little bit hard to find, but above a nice cafe, opposite a good Pizza restaurant all used by locals. Very stange lift and access, may not be to everyones liking , but it was clean, very close to the station and not far from open topped buses etc.. Its a good clean basic B&B without the breakfast in your...

If you're visiting Rome, the area of Roma Termini is my pick because of ease of transportation (Airport Express from FCO airport, the intersection of two metro lines A&B, long line and high speed trains if you're traveling throughout Italy or Europe) and for the money the best "budget" room is certainly the Imperial Deluxe. We paid 59 Euros through...

The room we stayed in was lovely: very clean, complete with safe. There is no reception, it is just a room, which is what we expected. Very good value in a good location, just around the corner from the Termini station. Don't know why it is called a bed and breakfast, though, but we did not expect breakfast anyway. There...

This place has good points and bad points. I'll start with the good ones. The room was small, but beautiful. The pictures on-line don't really do it justice. I don't think you would get a nicer room in Rome for the price. It had a very romantic feel to it, especially with the huge glass chandelier. The en suite bathroom...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
