We chose the hotel because of the reasonable rate on offer, we were very surprised to find breakfast was included, a real bonus as it was really good (continental buffet). The hotel itself is warm and cosy, clean and tidy. It is small, our room a little too small, but at that price we had no right to complain. I...

Perfect location in a quiet part of the old town near Campo di Fiori within walking distance to all the attractions. An old palace with genuine art everywhere. The breakfast room was beautiful and the food very good. Friendly staff and clean rooms. The WIFI worked. Loved it.

I stayed 5 nights 21.12.16 - 26.12.16, on 4. floor. Very quiet room, towards a little street, one-way, no traffiic at all. I havde booke and prepayed fore a double room, for single use. I choose this hotel, because of its location, and that is the best to say about the hotel. I´m disapointet to not have become a double...

We spent three wonderful nights in the hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was delicious but above all, the reception team was a amazingly friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to Campo di Fiori, but located in a quiet street. I will definitely return!!

We recently returned from our second stay (this time for 19 nights) at the Hotel Residenza in Farnese. We previously posted a review from our first stay (8 nights) here in November 2011. Both times the Residenza has met and exceeded all of our expections. We absolutely love it. Our fourth floor room was spacious, with a large bathroom and...

This hotel is a thief. At the end of my stay in August 2016, I asked the concierge to send 4 postcards to Australia for me. He said he would do so for 10 euros. I handed him over the cash and continued my holiday in Europe. It is now late November and the postcards never arrived. I called the...

Dear Ms White, I would like to inform you that the postcards you refered to, were all promptly stamped and shipped by the employee you entrusted them with and I can confidently say that I have no reason to doubt my emploee's honesty, who has been working in our staff for many years. He did such service as an act...

Very service-minded staff. Ample breakfast. Nice atmosphere with "friendly" "earthy" colours. Some funny and odd decorations and art. Comfortable beds. Not wall-to-wall carpets in the room but wooden floor which we prefer.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Residenza In Farnese stands between Piazza Farnese and Via Giulia in the heart of Rome. The building belonged in times past to the Teutonic Knights Military order of the Blessed Virgin. In the 18th century the palace became property of the Sinibaldi Family who restored the Fagade in its original style giving to more prestige and importance. Today this old monastery houses a cozy hotel of 31 rooms in their original layout and fitted with poor art furniture made in the northern Italian region of Veneto and antique furniture restored by skillful craftsmen who also enhanced the household furnishings and the finely decorated china and glassware. The splendid frescoes that embellish some rooms contribute to create an atmosphere of past times. The passion for art and restoration is accomplished by two ladies Marisella and Carla who run the Residenza in Farnese with particular care offer guests a warm and prestigious welcome. The professional hotel staff will do their best to satisfy all guests requirements with courtesy. La Residenza in Farnese your home in Rome offers a pleasant stay with a friendly homely atmosphere and the charm of an ancient house. ... more   less
