Visited Rome solo and this hotel was perfect. Walking distance to both the A and B lines on metro which made Rome very accessible. Waking up to the colosseum view was magnificent
Room was clean and efficient and practical and was cleaned every day.
Simple breakfast that was complimentary was good.. fresh fruit, pastries bread etc
No frills. Although the sautéed eggplant was delicious ..
close to the colosseum and within walking distance of some very nice restaurants.
Good value for money. Safe and clean for a solo traveler
Front desk was efficient in check in and check out and also arranged for taxi service to and from the airport for a fixed price.

Nice little hotel, Well situated and right near the forum and colosseum. Friendly staff members who go out of their way to help.
Room was clean and comfortable.
Top tip here is to ask for a room at the back of the hotel on the 4th or 5th floor as its a lot quieter than being on the main road.
Hotel is situated right on the bus route and a 5 minute walk away from the tube station
They were great with arranging the City Sightseeing tour to the Vatican museum - you pay cash for a voucher which you change over at the office outside the museum. Easy to find and great day out

They’ve really friendly reception and gave us an early checkin when we arrived at 11.30am. The room is kept clean and nice, But really small!
We stayed at level 3 and from the moment we walked in, there is a strong sewage stench from the toilet. Can’t really figure out where there smell originated, but it helped when the toilet door was closed. The surrounding area is generally quiet and convenient to get around by either bus or tram. One little tip, the breakfast place before the hotel serves really wonderful pastries and coffee. Our brekkie cost about 5-6 euros each day!

Before I go into detail this hotel merits 3 stars if only because if the personnel. They did everything in their power to make it a great stay for our wedding anniversary despite frankly bad conditions due to covid and a hotel that is aging badly in terms of installations.

We spent 4 nights here at the end of our summer vacation to celebrate our anniversary. The whole reason we chose it was it's pool in fact and it's location.

In terms of the highlights it does have very nice staff who did their best to help from changing our first room to helping us find good restaurants. The pool is nice BUT that's if you get a chance to use it. Its first come first serve for 2h slots but no real explanation or organised system. Our first day we showed up at 17h and the lifeguard blew us off as there was too long a wait list (we were told at reception we couldn't sign up...). We figured out the system by day two and did the wait in the bar list as well as showing up first thing it opened. I am not sure we would have reserved this hotel if we had known about the mess (we get the limits due to covid but there has got to be a better system).

The rooftop is nice for a drink or a light lunch. The "buffet" breakfast is limited and served because of covid. The quality is very mediocre (and that isn't covids fault I am guessing).

The biggest problems were in the room. Feist room (a privilege superior room in theory) was large and yet...smelly as can be as if it hadn't been cleaned in forever with a huge leak in the toilets. They changed our room for a regular room since they did not have any superior rooms left (so basically we paid more for less) but we literally could not have slept in that odor or with huge toilet leaks. It also had little to no light'

Our second room was smaller but had better light and didn't smell. But the rooms are not four stars very small twin beds pushed together do not make for a bed for 2 people (especially since my husband is tall as can be):the pillows were seriously worse than in an cheap place. The air-conditioning was sooo noisy I didn't sleep our entire time. But when you turned it down the outside nosie was too much and it was too hot.

Basically we fled the room as much as possible and didn't sleep well. Truly not a 4 star place in terms of the rooms and installations.

A shame given that there are other choices in Rome (I come regularly for work) and we won't be back.

Dear Traveler, Thank you for writing a review and sharing your experience in our Hotel. I am so grateful for the kind words of appreciation toward our staff, they will be glad to read your review since, as you mention, they are really working hard and give everything they have to assists our Guest and try to compensate the inevitable restrictions we had to put in place. I am deeply sorry for the pool situation but I can assure you that there is no alternative organization that could allow everyone to use it. To respect the social distancing regulations we reduced the places available, consequently to give more chances we implemented the time slots of max 2h (to fasten turn over). However this is still not enough, but unfortunatel will never be as there are simly not anought time slots for everybody. A reservation system would only advantage people staying 3+ nights (As they would book for every next day) cutting out the one staying 3 or less, because at their arrival they would not find availability already. Trusth me, this is our biggest concern this days and a daily focus, unless the government regulations don’t mitigate there is no chance to make everyone happy. Regarding the room I can assure you that I will immediately investigate about the smell but can assure you that cleaning procedure are followed with great care. I really apologize that your experiencewas flawed with this many issues, however I hope you will give us a chance to better serve you in the future, when I wish we will be free from such strict limitations. Kind Regards Giuseppe Fioretti Room Division Manager

Spent 4 nights here late August sunny 30 every day, wonderful staff, especially the pool guy! Stunning views from pool, due to restrictions allowed a 2 hr slot a day to be fair to everyone. Breakfast restricted a bit but still really tasty. Buses 85 87 51 and tram 3 all stop right outside hotel, plenty of good value local restaurants. Taxi to Ciampino 30 euros

Spent a week in the hotel in a prestige room with my 19 and 24 year old children.
Fabulous location - very near to and with great views of the colosseum.

Hotel was clean and located about 8-10 mins walk from train line A or B and buses and trams were regular and stopped just outside the hotel. It was about 10 mins on a bus to the pantheon/trevi fountain. Plenty of choices of bars and restaurants within a few minutes' walk.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was buffet style with good quality and selection.

Room could have done with more plug sockets near the beds but otherwise it had everything we wanted. The minibar was free and restocked with 7 soft drinks every day. The aircon was a godsend and was on 24/7. Didn't have any disruption from neighbouring rooms though being on 7th floor below the pool you did hear the noise of the sunbeds being replaced with tables/chairs for the evening and being dragged/put back out again afterwards but it was only a minor irritation (though had the room been at the other end under the bar the noise from above may have been more intrusive)

The roof top pool was a welcome bonus - though with only about 20 sunbeds it was pot luck if you would get one when you wanted one. Though a sunbed next to a smoker wasn't a great experience

One criticism would be that it could have done with more public spaces for relaxing. The roof top bar was nice but you felt pressured into buying a drink in order to sit there (a bit galling to pay 5euro for a soft drink when I had plenty in the fridge in the room). The downstairs lounge was frequently closed but the reception staff did open it for me & the kids to play some card games in there when we asked. The breakfast room seemed a wasted space other than for the 3 hours it was open for breakfast. If you couldn't get a sun bed and wanted to read your book other than in your room you were a little limited for options.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and would definitely stay here again

This is the first review I've ever done as its the first time I've flown in 15 years. Nothing was enough for us. The staff was so acomadating, they did everything to try help us out. Gave us extra pillows, I booked this hotel on a whim as my partner wanted to see the colosseum, so i asked if it was a possibility to maybe have a colosseum room view and we ended up with one of the best room views in the hotel. Everything was well sanitised and they were dealing with covid well, Everything was 1 way systems, condiments/tea and coffees etc were all wrapped up, we had breakfast there as well with our room and the eggs are out of this world hand! hand sanitiser were all over the hotel. We were able to keep our amazing room as our flight was delayed by 12 hours rather than checking out and leaving the bags. All the staff were so happy and welcoming. The breakfast good was so nice. The terrace gave stunning views as well. The hotel was in a brilliant location to most things. The metro and buses were a 2 minute walk. The colosseum you could see depending on what side of the hotel you were on. Most other things were in a good walking distance. Best holiday ever and its given me the confidence to know that I can now take my children away once the pandemic is over. Thank you all so much! Room 622 oct 11th - 14th 2020

I’ll start with the good. I like the location of the hotel because it is walking distance to the Colosseum as well as shopping areas and the metro. Check in was easy. Staff was nice. I enjoyed the pool and the view from the pool. Service at the rooftop bar was good. Night front desk clerk David was very helpful. After showing him my itinerary he did wake up calls and had taxis ready for me at the super early times I was leaving to go on my tours. And now the bad. The first time I entered my room the room smelled musty. Not fresh at all. The worst thing was when I went to shower there was a big hair ball on the wall of the shower. I wanted to throw up when I saw it. I grabbed a wad of tissue and removed it but I was disgusted. This tells me the shower was not cleaned nor sanitized. I complained to the night clerk and he kindly gave me a card for a free drink which I appreciate, but still can’t get over the nasty hair ball and for the remainder of my stay I felt uncomfortable using the shower. A box of tissue was missing in the slot where a box is suppose to be. This tells me the room was not thoroughly checked before I was given the room. My daughter sleeps with her American Girl doll, so the doll stays on the bed. When we got back the first night. The bed was made and her doll was thrown on the side. I want to note that my daughter and I travel quite a bit and every hotel we have stayed at they make the bed and put her doll nicely in the middle of the bed along with her other little stuffies she travels with. I complained to the night clerk about it. The next evening we came back to our room, the bed was made and even worse, they had her doll laying on the dusty night stand! I complained again to the night clerk and finally on the 3rd day they made the bed and put her doll nicely in the middle. It was too late though because I was already disappointed in the housecleaning service.

Fantastic stay. Contacted before arrival as anniversary weekend away with son and his girlfriend. Both given upgrade to colluseum view rooms. Fantastic view, especially at night. Unable to comment on roof top bar or swimming pool as wasnt open during our stay. We also can't comment on breakfast as didn't use hotel restaurant. We felt 16€ per person was too much than we wanted to pay. Check in was easy and staff were very helpful and polite. Room had tea/coffee making facilities. Safe and mini bar. Room was a little small but adequate for 3 nights and view more than made up for it. We spent most of our time in central Rome but we did try a couple of local bars and restaurants close to hotel which were a little cheaper than central and just as nice. We managed to walk to all venues from the hotel. Furthest away being the Vatican. It is about a 50 min walk but we easily managed it, stopping for drinks and food along the way. Rooms were cleaned daily. Check out was just as easy and pleasant as check in. The hotel staff kindly arranged for taxi to airport for us. All in all a lovely stay.
