The Grand Hotel Palatino was centrally located to many of Rome's attractions. Lots of nearby shops and restaurants. The facility was attractive and the service was fine. We had breakfast every morning in the hotel and ate one dinner there. The food was fine and the wait staff was pleasant and eager to please. The room was spacious, and the...

The hotel is in a fantastic location so near to the Colosseum etc. We did not use public transport at all and walked all over from here including as far as The Vatican. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. We had 3 rooms which were clean and comfortable. The only drawback is that the rooms at the front are...

Great location - 5 mins from the Coleseum. Breakfast good and rooms nice and clean. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Two comments - WIFI is slow and I would recommend you get a room on the back of the hotel as on occasion Italian drivers do like their horns. From this hotel we walked everywhere. Some good restaurants down...

the Hotel was selected for us as a gift Knowing the location and close proximity to all the sights (Colosseum 2 mins, Forum 5 mins) you fear the worst, unfriendly intolerant staff fed up of tourists and a feeling of being exploited.....FORGET THAT Coupled with its great location were really friendly, helpful and knowledgable staff; our two nights were a...

The location of the hotel is great. It is a ten minute walk to the Forum in one direction and a 10 minute walk to the Colosseum in another direction. Close to shopping, good restaurants. The staff were accommodating, helping us get tickets to a concert and helping members of our group try to change reservations for a tour. There...

As far as location goes, this hotel is ideal. It is about 10 minutes walk to the Colosseum, under 20 minutes to the Roman Forum, Victor Emmanuel Monument, and Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. There are restaurants and souvenir shops all over the area. Down the steps at the right side of the hotel is a cafe that sells gelato,...
