A lovely hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. We even had a beautiful fresco painted on the ceiling! The breakfasts were delicious with a large variety of items to choose from,

The hotel is 2 blocks from the Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore and that is one of the hop on hop off stops (toward the back side of the Basilica...another block or so). All very convenient. . There are several hop on-off lines; we used the original hop on hop off line. I think the others are very similar.

From the Amalfi, walk to Termini and take the express train to Leonardo airport. Simple, quick, and cheap. BE CAREFUL and make sure to give yourself plenty of time (especially if you're unfamiliar with Termini !)
