The iH Hotels Roma Cicerone is a large, bright, modern building perfectly inserted in the nineteenth century architectural style of the Prati district. In spite of its large size the hotel is very warm and welcoming providing a very comfortable environment for guests. Communal areas are filled with elegant sofas and all those small touches usually found in smaller boutique hotels.

Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

Between the four of us, we've been returning to this hotel for over a decade. Over that long period we had generally been pleased but at the same time had noticed a steady decline year by year in the usual high standards of this once four star hotel. This year the drop was more

Rooms are comfortable but very hot in winter. Very clean. Huge towels but as in most places, no washcloths. Good breakfast except that I did not like the coffee system. Elevators small but fast. Server/kitchen help did not like that we arrived early for breakfast although

From the moment we arrived and all throughout our three-night stay, the hotel staff were helpful and thoughtful. While not located near a metro, the hotel is right on the bus line and very closely located to the Piazza Cavour, Hadrian's Castle, Piazza del Populo, the Piazza

The rooms were too small, the windows didn't close firmly, the kettle was broken and the staff was mostly ironic with our complaints. The worst of all is that the rooms were very dirty, the towels had stains from rust and excrement and there was a stain from puke at the

Didn't notice an iron in the room but we used the laundry service. It was worth the price considering we were limited in amount of luggage we could bring and our clothes took a beating in the hot, humid weather. Never used room service. Our breakfast was included with our tour group. Hope someone else can be more helpful on this issue.
