We stayed here at the beginning of July when everyone was very scared to travel. We were originally booked to stay at their sister hotel the Inn and the forum steps, but due to the pandemic that hotel stayed closed, so they moved us to this hotel. At first we were slightly disappointed with the move as the original hotel was 5* and this 4*, but as soon as we arrived our worries were put to rest.
The taxi couldn’t find our hotel so dropped us off at the Spanish steps, but the hotel was literally just a 2 minute walk away.
We were welcomed by friendly staff and upgraded to an apartment room free of charge. It was down a different street to the hotel reception, but the staff were very kind to help with our bags down the cobbled streets. The room was up two flights of stairs with no lift access - so maybe slightly difficult for a family!
The room was old in style but clearly newly renovated with a modern twist - it was lovely.
Very spacious room and a comfortable bed. It has its own kitchen and also a sofa/pull out bed.
Only negative was that our shower was blocked and therefore didn’t drain. I’m sure somebody could have come in to fix it but with the pandemic we didn’t feel comfortable with anyone coming in our room, so we didn’t mention it until we checked out.
The doorway was also very thin, only one side of the door seemed to open with our key, it was about as wide as our suitcase sideways, which wasn’t an issue for us but may be for others so thought it worth mentioning.
Great location right in the heart of Rome, we hired electric scooters to get around, parked them outside the apartment at night so we were ready to go again in the morning.
All in all we really enjoyed our stay here and would book again.

The Inn at the Spanish Steps has several locations around the Spanish Steps, we stayed at the rooms next to Prada, one of which had an amazing view directly of the Spanish Steps that was second to none. It is a busy area, but our rooms (5th floor) were not loud at all. Lots of luxury good shopping downstairs, grocery stores within walking distance, restaurants, coffee/tea shops, and gelaterias. The hotel is within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain (9 minutes). Being in Rome, hotels are generally smaller/more compact. The elevator is old fashioned and fits 3 people maximum, but was able to fit ample luggage and a collapsible wheelchair. We ended up getting breakfast included, which was a nice selection right in the lounge area on the 5th floor (will vary based on which block/building of rooms you stay in), and the waitstaff were especially helpful and friendly, and can make omelets and salads on request. You did need a door key for the large door to the street which locks after 19:00. The lounges were nice, had kitchens fully stocked with plates, utensils, glasses, kitchen, small oven, espresso machine (we ate our own dinner after grocery store run on the terrace). The rooms were comfortable and well furnished. One note is room 807 did have a bump on the bottom of the floor that made pushing the door open difficult at times. All the staff were friendly and helpful. When we checked in, we met the owner, who upon seeing that we were traveling in a big group with a wheelchair, was especially accommodating in finding us the right rooms so we could avoid stairs, took us to see the rooms, and really went the extra mile. Overall we had a great experience at this hotel!

This was our 4th visit to the Inn and each experience is even more special!
Our dearest friends joined us who had never traveled to Rome before and
they were not sure what to expect when we drove up to the Inn. Our experience
began with a driver from the Inn picking us up from a cruise and we were whisked
away. As always, our greeting was warm and welcoming-just like family. Check-in was perfect. Dinner reservations and tours were excellent. Our rooms were beautiful. The view, the amenities of the room, rooftop pleasures...everything was exceptional. Each person greeted us with genuine kindness and went out of their way to assist us to make our visit to Rome fabulous. Our room was spotless, pillows and towels plentiful, breakfast service and afternoon delights amazing... and the front desk always there with a smile ready to answer any questions and offer suggestions, map out our journey when we were walking, we always felt comfortable and very welcome. We are excited to return again very soon! Thank you everyone!!!

We wanted something special, so we opted for the Honeymoon Suite. Very pricey, but we knew that. Having previously stayed at the Inn at the Forum, and had exceptional service, we expected the same, or better, in one of the premium rooms at The Inn at The Steps. Let’s be clear, it was nice, but in our opinion not quite good enough for the price. The Honeymoon Suite is located in a separate building (we knew that too) and it has a large private terrace, overlooking the Piazza di Spagna, along with half of the Steps themselves. So a premium location and a premium room for sure, but some of the basics for such a price were missing: no bottled water after day 1, only two tea bags per day, poor Wifi speeds, no adjustment possible on the aircon, no cushions on the sun-loungers. Once the room phone was fixed we called for some more tea bags and got the response ‘we will bring some later’. Breakfast is sometimes available in the Annex, otherwise you have to visit the main hotel 300 metres away. But all in all this felt much more like staying in a serviced apartment than in a luxury hotel, sorry to say. And when we checked out, no-one asked if we had enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in this lovely hotel for 2 nights. Very easy to find. The room was comfortable and modern with an en-suite bathroom which had a shower (some also have tubs if you prefer). Everything was spotlessly clean. The reception staff were very helpful and gave useful suggestions and advise!
We were pleasantly surprised in the morning at breakfast…. There was a large variety to choose from and everything was fresh.
We can recommend staying here as it is in the centre of Rome…. in one of the main shopping areas.
All the main sites are within walking distance and the underground is 3 mins walk from the hotel.
We hope to be back in the future!

Stayed here as part of a package. The hotel is rather convenient for sightseeing and restaurants. The elevator only went to the 3rd floor, but breakfast was served on the 5th which meant climbing stairs. The bathroom was dirty, and the tub was extremely high, making getting in and out difficult and dangerous. Tubs in both rooms were very slow draining so that by the end of a shower you were standing in pool of soapy water. The tv in one of our rooms didn't work and was missing the remote.

The hotel is centrally located and within easy walking distance of many sights. The rooms were very stylish, clean, and well maintained. The breakfast had a good selection of items and was very tasty. The staff were very courteous, friendly, spoke good English, and were willing to help whenever we needed something or had a question. The only minor complaint that we had was that due to the age of the hotel, the elevator went to the half floor. That means you have to either go a floor above your room and walk down or a floor below your room and walk up. Not a big deal unless you have a disability. My wife hurt her hip shortly before our vacation and had a hard time negotiating the steps at times. However, even with this slight inconvenience, this hotel was well worth it.

The location of this hotel is great and that’s why I have stayed here at least 4-5 times since 2010. However, this time it was a disaster. Despite us paying for a suite , we got a suite with one of the rooms having NO light fixture which even surprised the staff so we had to pack and unpack in the dark. The room was extremely hot and we got different stories as to why the air conditioning didn’t work. We were forced to open up the windows and listened to all the loud noises from sirens, to shouting and yelling to metal doors opening and closing to rowdy and drunk people in the Spanish steps area all night long. The only saving grace was Georgia who changed our room and poor thing she was so overwhelmed by having to solve all the problems and yet she tried and didn’t give up. They were truly short staffed. We were moved to another bigger suite where there was still loud noise from the consortiums street, basic amenities and the room looked old and dated with a mattress that was even older. The place needs a major remodeling before they start accepting guests.

Situated a 2 minute walk from Spagna metro station this has to be the most genuinely welcoming hotel. From the moment we arrived you could tell that the staff really enjoy working at this hotel and are ‘on a mission’ to offer great service and make your stay in Rome memorable.
Special mentions to Stephen and Georgia.
Rooms are clean and operate a turn down service.
The roof terrace and breakfast area are a joy, food and service are impeccable.
Dangerous shopping, see photos
We will return.

Fantastic location only made better by the exceptional service and breakfast service. We loved the location at the foot of the Spanish Steps with easy walking to many points of interest and dining as well as having some of the world’s most coveted luxury retailers just outside our doorway.
We stayed in a comfortable 2 bedroom apartment which was well furnished and comfortable though not luxurious.
One of our biggest delights was the exceptional food quality and service for the breakfast buffet. While the buffet was somewhat limited in selections - the quality of the items was exceptional with exceptional salmon and prosciutto ham and other breakfast treats well beyond the quality of the fare of even similar luxury hospitality lodging. Adding to the experience was the careful and attentive service of the wait staff who were at the pinnacle of their craft.
