The hotels was terrible- it was old and dirty. The staff was not friendly at all. The breakfast was the same every day- a croissant with coffee. The croissant seemed few days old, and to be honest the coffee too. We stayed there for 4 nights and after the first morning, i never went back for breakfast. The towels smelled... More

I didn't have much expectations from this hotel, because the price we paid for three nights with breakfast included was very good. Our room was small but ok but our friends had to exchange rooms because of mold in the bathroom. I was pleased to find that even in november the room was really warm and we had very good... More

We arrived early (11 am) to drop our luggage off and the receptionist was exceptionally rude. Our room was dirty and damaged. There was mold all over the bathroom and the bathroom smelt so badly of mold and dirt. After complaining and requesting a room change, we were given a slightly better room - the bathroom door was broken, there... More

The reception area looks OK but that's where it ends. We had booked 2 twin rooms for a 4 night stay. The rooms were of poor quality with holes in doors, dodgy electrics, no toilet seats, the cleaning was virtually non existent and the decor was shabby. The breakfast was even more of a joke - shockingly bad coffee (bearing... More

Booked this at travel agents then looked at reviews, but couldn't change the hotel. Entrance was very small but looked ok. Receptionist pleasant and marked out landmarks and gave advice about how to get to them which was very helpful. Stairway to rooms was like a run down hostel. The bedroom was dingy. Window did not shut (we were high... More

Don't go, worst hotel room ever seen. Dilapidated state, with nothing working including lights, all very dingy and depressing. No-one help from staff though promised. Street felt unsafe to be on with teenager.

Positive; Close to termini station and it possible to sleep there. Negative; The air conditioning is not working at all. The minibar is not working. The rooms are dirty and the towlles are dirty. The toilet was broken. The staff was not very nice. The breakfast is one dry slice of bread with jam. I would never come here again.

I had the opportunity to be staying in this hotel and overall we were pleased with the accommodation and service. The accommodation are reasonable, location is very advantageous poztionarea (near Termini station and very close to downtown). The rooms are not very spacious, there is a large double bed in the room chosen by me and an extra bed in... More

A very run down place to spend nights. Wall painting cracked, lift (size of a closet) barely working, toilet leaking, etc. The top was the breakfast... Oh well, if you even can call it such. Even the breakfast coffee was awful, tasted like burned even if we were the first customers right at the time of serve opening. Can't really... More

I have travelled to over 30 countries and past stays varied from 5-star to sometimes 3-stars...this time, I was unfortunately booked into this hotel by the travel agent. Knowing that it was only a 3-star tourist level hotel, and I was only staying for one night, I was not expecting much. But I was still shocked to discover how poor... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
