Booked into this hotel for location as says views of Trevi fountain no view, we were sent of site down a alley to an off site room on the third floor in a very scary lift to our room the room was extremely small, breakfast was horrid and we had to walk down two alleys to get to the main hotel. Staff were extremely rude and we were charged extra for a city tax that we were not advised about when we originally booked and paid. No coffee making facilities in the room and like a rabbit warren getting to your room not at all like the pictures on their webpage but very close location to Trevi fountain if you are disabled in any way I would advise to find somewhere else to stay

We arrived late on the 17thOct. Checked into a suite, so, Yakoub, the concierge carried our bags.Room was nice & we paid for breakfast (7am-10.30am) We arrived at 9.50am & no eggs so I asked for some & very reluctantly waitress ordered some eggs! We are non pork eaters & no pastries or jams! When I asked the unfriendly waitress she said that there’s none left! We complained to Riccardo a friendly receptionist. He was going to ask his colleague to contact us!!
No manager around.. rest of the staff v pleasant!

Hotel is in a fantastic location. Literally seconds walk from the Trevi Fountain and the Presidents House.
Very easy walk to Pantheon, Altar of the Fatherland and Spanish Steps.
Other sights such as the colosseum also easy to walk to.
Hotel is up a very narrow alley which minibus can’t get up. There are some rooms in the hotel but most are based in 3 separate buildings. The one we were in was old which was nice and quaint but horrible smell of damp, lot of building work going on and looked generally tired and run down. The lift only held 2 people so I had to send the kids in it on their own and I’d have to follow after.
Room was a good size however on the 5th floor the ceilings were like in an attic and you had to walk round bent over to get into the wardrobe, safe, fridge and the third bed which was not ideal. We had to completely move the beds and furniture around to make it work for us. Room had tv, wifi and tea and coffee facilities but no milk. Shower was very small and light didn’t cover the shower so hard in the evenings when dark. Also water pressure is very poor and impossible to get a consistent temperature, constantly changes from freezing to boiling!
The breakfast is located in the main building so a short walk each morning, it’s located up on the top floor in a tiny room with far to many tables and chairs, it’s hard to get a seat and move about. The area where the food and drink is very cramped and with the toaster right in the middle if anyone is waiting to use that then it’s hard for anyone else to get in and get food. Standard basic continental breakfast with meat, cheese, bread, rolls, pastries and fried and scrambled eggs. No cereal except muesli so glad I took mine own for the kids.
Having said that we were hardly in the room and just a place to sleep at night and the location is excellent. I’d consider staying here again for the location but only if it was a very good price.
Top tip coke out of the main building and turn right to the fountain, just before you get there on the left is Pizza Trevi, all pizza and pasta freshly homemade and best food and service we had during our whole trip.

This hotel is by far the worst hotel o have ever experienced in my life. The staff are extremely rude and unhelpful. I booked this hotel as a surprise for my parents for their 40th wedding anniversary. They arrived yesterday and their booking could not be found leaving my parents in a blind panic, the reservation was eventually found and next were told they had to pay for breakfast at a cost of €60. I had already prepaid for breakfast via booking.com so I contacted the hotel to explain and resolve the misunderstanding. This did not go to plan. The woman on reception immediately told me they could not deal with me and to email the reservation department(who are not contactable by phone). I emailed the reservation team and explained the situation along with proof of the Prepayment of breakfast. This was ignored and the staff charged my card another €60 for breakfast without authorisation.
After complaint that this was in fact illegal they said they would refund the money but would not give my parents the breakfast that was paid for as this booking in their ‘opinion’ came without breakfast. Again I explained and showed proof of breakfast but I was ignored. I contacted booking.com who confirmed that I had in fact paid for breakfast. Tried once more with the hotel but they will not budge at all, I have spent the last 24 hours arguing my case and I am so stressed and disappointed with it all.
The person in question I am dealing with is Massimiliano. I would never normally name a person in a bad light but I want everyone to be aware of the shockingly poor customer service this person has offered and this hotel. Hopefully I’ve saved some other couple from this experience

Sadly, for the last hotel of our 6 weeks trip, this one was very much below the 3/4 star hotels we’d been in…. We arrived early (maybe that was our mistake), we were told, oh your early but that’s okay, there’s a room ready down the road… so, down we head, get in the door and find the elevator… luckily we didn’t have suitcases, one of us got in the elevator with our 2 carryon bags and backpack, the other walked the stairs… with the lift, if you don’t shut all 3 doors, any one else wanting to use it, can’t as it won’t move with the doors not shut. Our room was okay, at least the sheets and towels were very crisp and clean… the bathroom however, was smaller and hardly anywhere to put your toiletries bag, but the toilet was right beside the window, great except the curtain was so close to the toilet… “cringe”, we kept tying it up, the cleaners kept untying it. And while we say it was clean, some areas weren’t clean, maybe the cleaner couldn’t bend down?
The aircon was on 24/7 you could not turn it off or change the temperature, we got caught in the rain and arrived back wet and cold, and got into the room and froze. Hubby had to go down the road and around the corner to the reception to ask how to work it (that’s because the phone didn’t work, oh and there’s no WiFi either, even though it’s advertised), reception had to turn the aircon for our room off, at reception… thank goodness, as it was really cold the night before and we’d actually opened the windows to let warm air in, because we couldn’t turn off the air con… what a waste!!! Breakfast, was a disaster, we were told to go to level one of the building we were in, no staff were there the first morning… and there was slim pickings and cold poached eggs… the coffee (machine type) was disgusting… the 2nd morning, there was a staff member there and I watched her clear the table after someone had left, wipe table and put the same dirty tablecloth back on… at least the eggs were warm that morning… also, add here how there was glasses for the fruit juice on our first morning, but the second morning totally replaced with plastic cups…… we didn't go back for the other two mornings, so really advise you not to waste your money, don’t book breakfast. It was sadly a big let down, as our travel agent had said how good it was and he’d said how good the dining area was and the food… yeah maybe at the actual hotel it may be, but certainly not at this other building… and I’ll add about paper thin walls, and very noisy with other guests arriving back late … if we ever go back to Rome, I’d be looking somewhere else… because for the amount of money we paid through the travel agency, we expected a 4 star hotel, and received a very low 2 stars, maybe we could say we’d only give it a 1…. The only thing it had going for it, was how close it was to the Trevi Fountain and other attractions….

Great location close to Trevi fountain. It through us at first being taken to a different location a couple of streets away from hotel but WOW! we were upgraded to a suit of rooms (large bedroom, 2 shower rooms, and a living room with chaise lounge, stone fire place, and bath in it +pull down bed!). The room also had a tv in the bedroom and one over the bath, stocked fridge (very reasonable prices!) and a safe. The rooms were very stylish with high ceilings, modern and with architectural features, and lots of clothes/bags storage. The security was extremely good too with locks and 'do not disturb' digital displays as well as double lock on the apartment floor and digital code lock on the main front door. It was quiet and everyday the room was cleaned and the bed turned down and fresh towels. Would definitely book again!

When we arrived we was told there was a problem with rooms & we could go next door & use a room there, when we went in the room was 2 floors up & had no lift plus when you wanted breakfast you had to come down & go into hotel!!, we declined the use of next door & was taken to a room you literally could not swing a cat in . To get into bed you had to walk sideswYz against the wall because there was no legroom. Also there were no drawers in the room so most drawer items remained in case. Breakfast was hit & miss not very good at cleaning tables so your stood waiting for a table only hot option was scrambled egg, which kept running out & staff do not speak English to explaine anything. Only plus is the location of hotel literally round the corner from Trevi fountain, but not for us. Carpet as you can see from pictures where disgusting., lights switches stickie 🤮

We checked in on the evening of September 13, 2022. From the moment we check in we were given the run-around. Shuffled around to two other buildings . We were not offered a room in the building we booked on line, Beware, they have several other buildings that are nothing like the rooms that you see on line when booking. Both of the other buildings that we were taken to had no elevators. At least 3 to four flights of stairs to get to our rooms. Once in the second room that we were taken to, we realized there was no Wi-Fi as advertised on their website and not only that, the phone in the room was not working. Could not even call the front desk at the original building. When we went to the front desk the following morning, the MOD was very rude to us. Needless to say, we checked out immediately and still they charged us for the next day. Thankfully, we found a wonderful new hotel that happened to have two rooms available. Not a good experience at the Hotel Trevi!

We just got back from Rome and I do not understand the reviews for this hotel. After reading negative reviews, I was apprehensive about staying at this hotel but based on the price and location I decided to give it a go anyway. My room was spacious, clean, well air-conditioned and all round lovely. The staff were helpful and polite, always smiled and said hello whenever we saw them! Breakfast wasn't anything to write home about but generally nice and varied and the coffee was delicious! All round a great experience!

We stayed 4 nights in room 301. The room was clean, modern, and very adequate for our needs. The hotel is centrally located and walkable to most all of the Rome highlights. The downside though was that we couldn’t control the temperature via the room thermostat and had to keep the window open at night because it was very warm … and it was very noisy at all hours of the night. The breakfast buffet was very nice, and the front desk staff accommodating and helpful. For the location, it was a good value… though the nighttime noise was a definite negative.

Not sure which building these are in. Based on other reviews, the rooms in other buildings must vary, as ours was okay--just a production to get to, with multiple keys required to get in, etc.
