We stayed at the Londra and Cargill over an extended weekend trip to Rome. The hotel is very nice and located in a calm area, which guarantees good sleep. The rooms are very nice and comfortable, and the double beds exceptionally spacious. The room price included a good breakfast, continental with Italian specialities. The staff is very helpful. A problem...

Feels like "grandmother's house", kind of old and beaten down. I guess this is a good location, it was within walking distance to some good restaurants and gelato right around the corner. It seems to be a quiet neighborhood. The included breakfast was OK. This place just needs updating throughout. Oh, and the beds are horrible.

Why do we keep coming back?? Good old fashioned service by friendly genuine staff, comfortable large rooms (by roman standards) which are nice and quite, good breakfast selection with excellent coffee, walking distance (10-15 min) to the main tourist attractions and shopping areas, must have 20 good places to eat within walking distance in a quite neighbourhood. Hmm I'm not...

The Hotel Londra & Cargill is a quiet but highly acceptable place to stay for visits to Rome. It is within walking distance of the Via Veneto and just a short taxi ride from the main railway station, which has a direct connection to the airport. This all makes the hotel an easy connection to the rest of Italy as...

Very basic and small room with no amenities in the toilet, no drinking water, no coffee tea of hot water pot. Room was small size and the room temperature was very warm. Perhaps it was early November so everything is maintained at a higher temperature. We had to sleep with the window open. The service was suitable with a small...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review on Tripadvisor! We are very sorry to know that you didn't like the room provided and if it was too small you could have asked the Reception, so that the Staff could have offered a room change. I confirm that there are no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms but we have...

My friend and I visited Rome for a long weekend and stayed at the Londra and Cargill hotel. The hotel was perfect as it was located close to all the historical sites, restaurants and shops! The staff ensured all our needs were met. An example of this was that we were given a room with a double bed but had...

We stayed for 3 nights in October. For us the location was perfect. Slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre but close to lots of nice restaurants without paying tourist prices. It was a 20 minute walk to the Spanish steps/Trevi fountain. The hotel itself was nice. Immaculately clean and staff were polite and efficient. The...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
