This hotel does not justify its 4 stars, not even by a longer shot. Rooms are small with damaged and outdated furniture the hotel being in need of serious refurbishments. Cleaning personnel seems to be overwhelmed, our room being not cleaned even at 2 pm. Breakfast is basic at best. Take care of the breakfast taken on the roof terrace....

This is a hotel that has definitely seen better days, but the days it sees now can be very pleasant. The staff is quintessentially Romano, which may seem at times indifferent to some, but not so to those who know Rome. It's kept very clean and is very conveniently-located. It's close to Termini but not too close. The neighborhood is...

When we got there the receptionist was really rude, he was mad about something in his computer and almost yelled us. He didn't say a word in English, Italian only. When I get to my room the bed had hairs on it, and there was this sound of water dripping all the time coming from the air ventile. I did...

When traveling in Rome, Hotel Torino is only 2 short blocks from Termini, the bus and Train station. The rooms are small, but enough for 2 people. Since most use the rooms for sleeping and showering. Rome has so much to offer to the traveler that if anyone wants to explore all of Rome, this is convenient. The rooms are...

We spent the first & last two nights of our tour here. The rooms tended to be very small and basic. I refused the maid's room allotted to me for my last two nights and got another that was more acceptable - but our guide gave his up, very kindly, as the hotel was full. When you have paid extra...

Perfect hotel for a trip to Rome. If flying take the train straight to the Termini, walk across the road and and down 1 block and you are at the hotel - no need to take a taxi, bus or another train. Walking distance to alot of the main attractions and the metro, with great restaurants and bars in area....

This hotel is in a great location and is very quaint. However I was with a tour group here and we had a few issues - single beds when we'd requested doubles, no hot water, dodgy power points - and staff did little to help out. Their response was very disappointing.

Small, unclean, no hot water in shower, toilet would not stop flushing, power points dangerous. Management rude and unhelpful, no lift from ground floor, bar and lounge area is small and unclean and not a place one would want to sit and relax.

Dear guest, we are sorry that your first review on this website is negative and about our hotel, even if there could be some doubts about this last point. Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
