The hotel is what you would expect from an inner city low price accommodation. The room was clean - fresh towels and bedding daily - staff were very nice but you only saw them at breakfast. The room was big enough to sleep in (JUST) space was at a premium. If you are well proportioned it is not the place...

We were a family of five staying for 3 nights at this hotel. The rooms are very small and depressing. A lot of dark wood and you would not want to stay in the room any longer than you have to. The double rooms were very noisy at night as the Dustmen came in the middle of the night and...

Hotel_Cambridge, Responsabile reception at Hotel Cambridge, responded to this review

we are sorry for his negative review but at the same time we want to emphasize that it is not our hotel to be an unpleasant place but unfortunately it is often the rudeness of customers let it down. We are always courteous to all as it should be but we also believe that there must be humanity from customers...

The location may be close to Rome termini, station with bus, train and metro. But the neighboorhood was very dirty and the hotel is more like a hostel for students. I was shocked when in entered. Also the staff was friendly but half of them could not dpeak English. I booked the hotel through Opodo.com and although they mentioned on...

aside from the hotel Cambridge, there's another hotels in the building. the elevator is too tiny that it can only fit 1 person and a luggage at a time, its stops on the 4th floor, since we are on the 5th floor, we have to use stairs from 4th-5th floor, we have to carry our luggage one level using stairs....

We stayed here as part of a European school tour for 4 nights. It is okay but not great. We were in a group of 4 and shared a room on the ground floor. Rooms are not huge, but big enough for our belongings. Our room in particular had a strong damp, dirty smell and it was quite cold. Bathroom...

My family and I stayed at this hotel for a week and had a great time. Location is great, walking distance from termini. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and breakfast is very good. I would stay there again if I go back to Rome.

Stayed here for 3 nights, it's in a good location near the train station, and round the corner from the hop on hop off buses. The hotel has a strange layout and lift but once you get past that it's fine. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Rooms were old fashioned but very clean.

Great staff, very kind and helpful. 5 stars people always ready to help 24/7 Good breakfast. The bathroom was so tiny you could almost fit. Small TV, but that wasn't a priority. Clean and near the Termini station.

Hotel is in a great location, a very short walk to Termini Station. We arrived quite late in the evening, there was an older gentleman at the reception desk, He didn't speak English, didn't smile, but he got us checked in and showed us to our room. The room was dated, linens worn and the tv was a postage stamp,...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
