Neighbourhood
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

Yes, this is a hotel that is near to Termini ( the station where you can take buses, metro trains to almost anywhere in Rome), but I didn’t feel like a 4 star hotel service, room size, breakfast quality or variety. The staff would be pissed off if you try to ask for help, it

We’ve just came back from a 2 night stay in this great wee hotel. Very close to Termini Station, so handy for trains & the bus transfers from the airports. Slightly bigger rooms than are common in Rome, ours, 301, had a small balcony. We skipped breakfast both days, but our

This hotel is well located near the train station termini, giving an easy access to the city transportation and walking distance to many touristic places. We had a good stay in general; room was clean and comfortable, breakfast is well served. Only big down was for the hot water

My mum and I stayed at the Europa for 3 nights while celebrating her 50th birthday. We travelled from FCO airport to Roma Termini by train (€14 one way and well worth it). From the station, the hotel is less than a 5 minute walk and easy to find on a quiet back street. First

I would say it's within walking distance to most tourist sights, some like the Vatican would probably be too long to walk, but the bus depo and train station is literally 2 minute walk from the hotel and can take you straight there, it's pretty straight forward to find the right line and stops.

The bus is very easy and arrives in the centre. I did not take a cab so cannot comment. It depends wether you want to arrive late and night and then have to find your hotel etc.
