My partner and I stayed in the Junior Suite in Hotel Albruzzi for 2 nights over the weekend. The staff were very good and courteous, and also spoke very good English which was a nice touch. The room itself is of a decent size, with room 502 having one room facing the pantheon and another small room having a sofa bed (we used this room to get ready/ store luggage to prevent the main room getting cluttered). The room was clean and the view was beautiful. Sound proofing was adequate, even on busy weekend evenings the only noises that could be heard were if they were exceptionally loud, so had no trouble sleeping.

The hotel was in the ideal location to explore Rome - we travelled everywhere by foot with the exception of some further away locations, when we used LIME electric scooters.

The square it is in (Piazza della Rotonda) had a nicer atmosphere than many we had visited, with far less beggers/ Young, African males trying to force sell bracelets etc and lots of nice restaurants.

Breakfast was served at a cafe just around the corner (30 sec walk) which was OK, with a choice of 1 hot and 1 cold drink, eggs + bacon or fruit salad and a croissant (there were a few other options but I can't recall).

Only 2 things about this hotel I feel are important to note - the elevator is on the 1st floor, so is not suitable for anyone in a wheelchair, and the bed and pillow were very firm.

All in all, a very small price to stay somewhere beautiful in Rome. Would definitely recommend to others.

My wife and I originally had a nightmare of a stay at another hotel in Rome near the Trevi. It was so bad that we decided we would eat the cost of the last two nights we paid and just re-book another hotel for our last two nights during our amazing Italy trip. We stumbled upon Hotel Abruzzi and we couldn’t be happier. It is a relatively small boutique hotel, but DON’T let this fool you. The service they provide is phenomenal. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, whether you’re leaving for the day to conquer your Rome bucket list or heading out to dinner. A few more things to note:

1. We got the Junior Suite and the view and atmosphere was unbeatable. We were in the action, but when we got tired, we just went back to the comfort of our room and still had “front row tickets” to the Pantheon and the charming square where people liked to hang out.
2. They provide breakfast vouchers to a cafe right next to the hotel.
3. It’s a boutique hotel so no areas to drink at a bar on the rooftop or eat, but this isn’t a problem because the location is prime and there’s a gajillion places around the hotel for food and drinks
4. If you have an early flight the day of checking out, they can still ensure you get your breakfast the night before (so you can take it to go) and also call a taxi / prenegotiate price on your behalf. Superb service.
5. House keeping doesn’t cut corners like other hotels close by that I won’t name. They do a very thorough job and tidy the place up well where my wife was even impressed with the organization of her items after they would come each day.
6. Bonus - our suite was stocked with a bunch of extra pillows and blankets.

Grazie Mille entire staff at Albergo Abruzzi! You entirely changed our Rome experience for the better and we hope to be back one day.

Our family of four stayed at the Hotel Abruzzi for four days in early June 2019, and we loved it. Located immediately across the Piazza della Rotonda from the Pantheon, this nicely renovated hotel has windows that open out directly onto the piazza and onto the Pantheon itself. Contemporary but somehow classic. It is located just minutes away from Trevi, Piazza Navona & the Spanish Steps on foot. We were very pleased with this hotel in the value was real! The hotel management and staff were outstanding. The facility maybe on the smaller side, no pool etc. but it is all about location and comfort. What is nice is that hotel has relationships with one or two restaurants on the Piazza where their excellent food services are provided on behalf of the hotel. Believe me, you are going to love the Hotel Abruzzi.

This is arguably a good hotel the location is really good it is quite central you can walk to most of the key locations in Rome from this hotel and the rooms are tidy cleaned every day and perfumed which is really nice. However there is a problem with the breakfast it is absolutely horrible the staff that proposes a breakfast at the local café is antipathetic and the food is of the worst quality. I do not really recommend you staying here unless you are aware of this issue with the breakfast.

We visited here from 17th-21st Dec for my birthday celebrations, positives first
LOCATION, our room overlooked the Pantheon, and is 20-30 mins walk to all the main attractions.
The staff are great, friendly and informative,
Breakfast was served in a little restaurant, a few metres away, and the staff there are brilliant too..
Rooms are modern and meet the needs of a traveller, with complimentary tea/coffee in the room, a hairdryer, and a reasonably priced mini bar.
Now the negatives, although these are not deal breakers.
In our room the shower and toilet where separate, where the shower unit was part of the roomand when you turned toilet light on, the shower light came on too, which if in the middle of the night, could wake others.
The room was very compact, with very little room to store luggage, and nowhere to hang coats,
The room was very warm, we tried to adjust the aircon, but to no avail.
The hairdryer had to be held on, and someone with dexterity issues on the hands would struggle.
The lift is situated on the first floor, and is very compact...
All in all, this hotel is in a fabulous location, and worth a visit. Its part of the historic part of Rome.

We wanted to save money, so reserved a room for 2 near the Pantheon. Nearing the end of the winter season and at the beginning of the Coronavirus scare, when we arrived we were upgraded to a room overlooking the Pantheon at no extra cost.

Very helpful staff, comfortable room and outstanding location. Excellent soundproofing...once you closed the windows, you couldn’t hear anything from the square below.

Breakfast was across the square (a staff member walked us over). Breakfast was up stairs and all that you needed to start the day.

I will definitely return.

Fantastic small hotel in an amazing location in the centre of the old City. Located on the Pantheon square with uninterrupted views overlooking the Pantheon itself. It’s a real treat to watch the comings and goings in the busy square with the Pantheon in the background. The square is busy until late so perhaps not ideal for light sleepers but I would suggest that those booking this hotel will do so because they want to be in the ‘dead centre’ of the lively ‘old City’. The rooms are small (as you would expect in an old building in such a location) but are immaculately cleaned and have air conditioning and a functional modern bathroom. Breakfast is served at a cafe around the corner and is very delicious with a choice the usual breakfast items both hot and cold. Staff are very welcoming and are always on hand to help. Really can’t fault it.

Staying at Hotel Abruzzi was a great experience! I can't praise this hotel enough!! The staff is so attentive and helpful. They promptly responded to all of my email inquiries prior to our visit and completely catered to us during our visit. The location is perfect and centrally located, we were able to walk to all of the major sights but there is a taxi stand across the piazza if you do not want to walk . Our Pantheon view room had amazing views of the Pantheon and Piazza (see photos). The windows are well sound-proofed so it was quiet at night. I highly recommend Hotel Abruzzi. My husband and I are so grateful to their amazing staff for making this such a memorable trip!! Grazie Mille!!

With its central location, this hotel is the perfect base for wandering around the city. All major sites are within walking distance (any direction, max. 30 minutes). Moreover, the Argentina bus stop with 10+ bus lines serving the main tourist sites, is only 5 minutes away. Contrary to what some may say, we felt Rome public transport was very efficient.

We stayed in a junior suite, but besides the view we felt it had little added value over a normal room. Soundproof room and windows, darkening curtains, free safe, extra pillows at hand, coffee and tea facilities, minibar (€), excellent WiFi connection, great airco and water pressure, elevator from the first floor, luggage storage (big plus that they tag your luggage!). The cell phone with free international calls and free internet was a nice touch; we took it with us during our entire stay.

Breakfast was served at a café at nearby piazza Capranica, from 7.30 to 10.30. The hotel gives you a voucher on which you have to indicate your preferences. And although the options are always the same, there's plenty to choose from so you don't have to eat/drink the same thing every day.

Overall, good value for money. The only thing, a complimentary bottle of water upon arrival in our suite would have been nice.

We enjoyed Rome very much. Not flooded with hordes of tourists (covid travel restrictions?). We didn't prebook any tickets and really never had to stand in line longer than 10 minutes, anywhere (not even in Vatican City)! So forget about those overpriced skip the line tickets and expensive hop on hop off buses. If ever there was a good time to visit, this was definitely it :)

This is a small, tall hotel right across from the Pantheon. Location and view is tip top. The staff is outstanding, and for that alone I recommend this hotel. The beds are comfortable , there are electric shades as well as shutters and windows that open. See and hear the activity in front of Pantheo. Great access to all big Rome stuff if this is your first trip.

Vatican museums entrance about 35 min walk. Colosseum about a 25 min walk. Likely to take longer as it’s simply impossible to walk anywhere in Rome with stopping to look at the awe inspiring places you stumble upon.
