The location of this hotel really could not be better. The hotel itself is well decorated, well managed, comfortable and clean. The staff are helpful. It all comes together to make a memorable stay. The only quibble is that the bedroom walls were a bit spartan. A picture or two would not have gone amiss. However that is not worth...

I have been to this hotel three times over the last few years. I think they had some major redecoration of the building, because the last time I was there, everything looked brand new. However I'm not sure that all the rooms have been updated. They have a non-smoking floor (what a nice surprise!). My room was immaculate, with a...

The Santa Chiara is a charming hotel. The staff is VERY attentive with an excellent Concierge. Rooms are contemporary, large by central Rome standards and reasonably quiet due to new windows. It is centrally located for touring, within walking distance of the Forum, many churches, fountains and plazas. It is an excellent value, even with the weakened US$.

The reviews on Albergo Santa Chiara seem so mixed that I was compelled to chime in. We were very leary about the staff due to all of the "not so great" comments we had read on this site. We found the staff to be very helpful and more than nice. Certainly not like a family run Italian B and B...

This was the second time I stayed at the hotel- first was Summer 2005. The room this time was disappointing. The traffic noise was terrible and I didn't sleep 2 of the 4 nights there (even though I was exhausted). We also could hear people in the next room in the middle of the night. Not to be indiscreet, but...

Staying in Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori

Neighbourhood Profile
Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighbourhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.
