Hotel Smeraldo is located in the heart of the Centro Storico and Parione neighborhoods of Rome. It is the perfect launching pad for anyone looking to see all the sights that Rome has to offer. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 8 nights and...More
So you know when you find a place that is so perfectly situated, which meets all your basic needs (and then some), and is just a perfect home away from home during your travels? And you are almost afraid to share this on social media...More
This was a great hotel in the perfect location. I had booked a double/queen room and ended up in room 406, which was perfect! It was a queen bed with an extra single bed, that ended up being great for space. Yes, the shower is...More
This is truly a great choice for hotel in Rome. Close to piazza, shopping, restaurants. Standard really good, better than expected! Friendly staff and good breakfast. Nice little rooftop terrace to enjoy drinks.
Colloseum & Vatican City both within walking distance ~ 10-15min walk.
As others mentioned the location is great. We stayed in the annex which was no problem to walk across the tiny street to the main door. The whole property was always clean and lovely. Our room was the annex, small room, no view location. That...More
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighbourhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa
drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.

All rooms have private baths and I think mostly showers. We were on the top floor and it was the 4th floor. There is a two person elevator and a newer, larger one was being installed when we were there in June so it should be running now. I highly recommend this hotel!
