Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

Hotel Farnese is in a comfortable walking distance to the Vatican and Castel Sant'Angelo, and has the metro right outside. The rooms were clean and very comfortable; the bathroom was luxurious with an enormous bathtub. Breakfast was something to look forward to each day with

Hotel is very close to metro station - about 100 m. Great connection point about 10 minutes ride by metro to Vatican City. Breakfast simple and the same every day. Free parking is nice when you travel by car.

Excellent service throughout stay. Louis on reception was particularly helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Great hotel, very well maintained and not too far to walk from city attractions.

What are the suites like or is it best for the superior room with balcony
All the rooms are nice and are decorated in a Victorian Italianate style , I would take a suite if it's a special occasion

Is there a charge for the transportation to the airport and if so what is it?
€55 as of last October. It's a bit nicer than a cab, but needs to be scheduled well in advance (overnight should be fine).
