Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

If getting a good night's sleep is important to you, don’t stay here. I was put up in this hotel because my first hotel gave me a room with a broken heater on a cold December night and put me up here. The heat was adequate, the WiFi I could only get by sitting next to the door

The hotel is in very a nice location. Very close to metro and bus stops. Vatican is 20 minutes walk. Hotel was old but clean. The bed was too hard. The staff are very nice and accomodating. The bathroom was very small and you can smell cigarettes smoke.

hello did you have a question re hotel gerber. one option is to take a shared taxi/van from FCO. When you are done collecting your bags and head towards the exit on the left you will see shuttle services. we paid 20EU per person to the hotel using the shared van. it was an 8 person vehicle but he only had 6 riders. the mercedes was air conditioned and very roomy. the best part was that we were dropped right in front. if you want to take a train then from Termini or Tributina take to line to Lepanto. the hotel is a very short walk from Lepanto metro stn (it has no escalators or elevators) bu the climb of steps is not much..
