Friendly and helpful staff and a great breakfast! Thank you. You're off the main street, but close enough to walk to the Vatican in 15 minutes. When I return to Rome, I'll be back. Super clean and nice foyer.

We spent a couple nights at the hotel. It was a last minute reservation and we were happy with our choice. The hotel arranged transportation from the airport which made our arrival very stressless and easy. (50 euros) Friendly staff. Interesting small hotel. Modern touches. Our room was nicely equipped and loved the decor. It was at street level so...

We had a great stay in Rome in Hotel La Rovere. The staff was friendly and the hotel is super nicely designed - non of the typical business or aged hotels. The location is perfect, if you want to see the key sights. Super central, yet hidden in a small street - really cute! We traveled with out toddler -...

La Rovere has a perfect location for those who like to explore Rome and yet sleep tight at night. A 15 minutes walk to Trasteveres restaurants and Gianicolo hill where you can enjoy the best views! The staff is very service-minded and friendly. I will come back and stay at this hotel!

It was a very nice hotel, friendly staff, well maintained and clean. Breakfast was good, we enjoyed it. The room was good and has a desent bathroom. Because it's an old building, the rooms are a bit noisy, But we didn't have any problems with it. The hotel is perfectly located! Only 5 min to the vatican, and when you...

We stayed at Hotel La Rovere for three nights when we had to attend a wedding in Rome. Our room was very clean and plenty spacious. The mature gentleman who checked us in was very funny and helpful. Some guests might not appreciate his dry wit, occasionally at our expense, but we found he pulled it off very well. Our...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
