We were met by a fellow named Elio, who said he was a friend of Vincenzo (who, from the email confirmation we received, we assume is the owner) on the third floor of the building, where I presume the B&B is. Don't know because, after paying, we were ushered downstairs, out of the building, down the street and around the...

Great location and it was a short walk from the main train station. Check-in was very fast and owner was very friendly and even sat us down to highlight the main attractions in Rome. As we were chatting and casually mentioning my birthday, owner gave me a bottle of dessert wine as a present which was very nice of him....

“Very comfortable stay, staff was exceptionally accommodating with our young 4-yr old son. We felt very safe in the building and the area, and facilities were very clean. We usually look to name brand hotel chains so we know what to expect, but upon the recommendation of a friend, this B and B more than exceeded what our expectations are...

On our recent 4 night trip to Rome, my girlfriend and I chose the BB Venus after reading reviews online..... The hotel was easy to find from Termini station, even late at night when we arrived. Upon arrival, a member of the staff was gracious enough to help us with our luggage up to third floor accommodations (there was a...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
