The best about this place is location in the middle of Trastevere with all the restaurants and shops. About 30 minutes walk to all the tourists places. The standard is simple and not luxurious at all. Our room was more like and apartment. We had plenty of space and it was clean. The host Marlon is really helpful with tips... More

Very laid back helpful worker, and your stay comes with a breakfast in a very hip friendly cafe downstairs with delicious fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, and pastries. But the best part is the location by far. A adorable part of Rome with dozens of unique restaurants and a nice night life. Comfortable beds and the there was no noise... More

We had a really nice stay here. The location is excellent to access the sites of Rome. Good access to the train to the airport. The location is quiet but with a 5 minute walk there is a brilliant selection of restaurants and cafes. Breakfast was nice but slightly disappointing as it was limited to a coffee and orange juice... Francesco and staff treated us like family; providing maps and advice, watched our luggage as we traveled the Amalfi coast, even hosted a roof-top wine/cheese/olive oil tasting! Perfect location in Trastevere, less than a 5 min walk from the tram, Tiber, and St. Maria church/square. Rooms are quaint, clean and cozy, not fancy. Ask for one with a balcony overlooking... More

This B&B is located very good in the fantastic area of Trastevere, clean and nice, a bit noicy with "thin walls", but overall ok and good value for the money. During the stay we noticed that our passports were missing, we know for sure that we kept them in our room and when talkiing to the staff about this we... More

It was easy-to-find, despite the late arrival! Very friendly staff. Showed us where to go and which sights to visit. Very clean, warm, cozy room! It's very close to lots of monuments, easy access to public transportation. Only 20 minutes far from the termini station. There are lots of bar, restaurants etc nearby! Price includes breakfast.

Good points were that we had a pleasant and helpful welcome, and that the Baylon Suites are in a great location with a lovely cafe/bar downstairs for breakfast. Downsides were that our tiny room was dark and a bit dingy looking out onto a courtyard, with bars at the windows and reminded me of my backpacking days! Showering was hit... More

Perfectly positioned in Rome, close to everything & easy tram & train ride to airport. Suites are clean, good taste and well kitted. Francesco is also very helpful. Only downside is the noise from the café below but that depends on which suite you have, also a shower curtain is rather outdated but no serious hinderence. All in all excellent!

The Baylon Suites is very well located and you will probably enjoy this nice atmosphere of Trastevere. The hotel is situated near many good restaurants and some of them are generally crowed with roman people and not tourists.. So you can really have good food easily. In 15 minutes walking you are in the old part of the city or... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
