Fantastic location right at the heart of Rome. Easy to get anywhere you need to go, also once in the hotel you will be stunned by the beautiful deco of the lobby, which took my breath away about how beautiful this place is. However, once I got into the room, I was truly disappointed. Basic and doesn’t really match the lobby! I was very very disappointed.
Staying at hotel minerva in rome.location of hotel is in prime position for all sightseeing attractions.food and drinks consumed in hotel grossly overpriced Eg a drink of coke in bar lobby 9 euros ,that's taking the piss even if I was a millionaire wouldn't pay that.room on 6th floor avoid very noisy rnear service area and roof top restraunt staff are very pleasant in all areas of hotel. raunt
We have been very fortunate to have visited the rooftop bar and have eaten breakfast in the gorgeous rooftop dining room after visiting the Pantheon, just a few steps away. What a treat this was, the views from the deck are spectacular ... the deck offers a commanding view of the Basilica and many of Rome's iconic land marks! On one occasion we were having a lunchtime snack and glass of wine on the deck when the pigeons got a little too busy around the tables ... in a flash, the pigeons suddenly scattered in every direction and did not return as we were introduced to a beautiful young Falcon named "Minerva' (yes after the hotel name!) by her trainer. What an experience, not soon forgotten. This is one of the very best rooftop bars we have been to in Europe.
If you are looking for a fabulous hotel in the heart of Rome look no further that the Minerve. It’s a suburb hotel in the top location next to the Pantheon with fantastic staff and as for the cost well as they say it’s doesn’t cost it pays to extend a little further, your in Rome enjoy it.
Nice enough room, however everything extra will come at a cost. No coffee facilities, no water offered in the room. Expensive mini bar available. Location is really good though, central enough and close to coffee shops and restaurants if the 70+ euro breakfast isn't your thing.
