We stayed 3 nights 4 adults in quad room. Lovely hotel. The cleaning standards in hotel were very good and cleaners work hard to ensure rooms are cleaned perfectly. Thank you to Alessandra who perfectly made sure our messy room was cleaned to good standards every day. Even under the beds there was no dust as I lost my foot spray which rolled under bed.
Fantastic location in Rome. We walked to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountains very easily within 20 minutes. We only caught taxi once during our trip. Lots of restaurants and cafes in area and a nice park too.
Reception staff were helpful and spoke excellent English. We were extremely impressed how fast check in was. We arrived early around 11.30am and did not expect room to be ready but it was. Also no pre authorisation on credit card which was a very nice and shows the hotel trust their guests.
Very handy luggage room we used on our last day as flight was late evening.
Free safe in hotel room which is handy and lovely free tolilettries in bathroom. Plenty of towels.
Our quad room served our needs and had large double bed, one single bed and single sofa bed which was comfortable.
There are some minor concerns which is why 4*. Air conditioning not working in February but it was warm so had to open windows. Also in breakfast the cheese is placed next to meat / ham products. We are muslims and could not eat the cheese due to contamination and had to ask one breakfast for it to be brought seperately from kitchen. Also the scrammbled eggs although in their own box shared the same storage unit as bacon and can get contaminated. But otherwise breakfast was reasnable and we loved the pan cake machine which made lovely healthy pancakes. Coffee machine made excellent cappachino. Nice orange juice too.
We would stay here again and recommend but hotel please take on board the feedback about the breakfast layout for cheese and eggs. These should not be mixed with meat products.
Thank you for a lovely time.

We enjoyed a wonderful week in Rome. The hotel was spotlessly clean and very traditional with statues and painted ceilings. We found we could walk to any tourist attraction within 30 mins. Hotel is very close to Villa Borghese and has bars, restaurants and shop close by. Breakfast at the hotel was great. Cereal, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, cakes, pancakes, bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, breads, meats and cheeses and endless juices, tea’s and coffee. Room also has a safe which is free to use. Hotels in Rome don’t seem to have kettle in room so if you like a coffee/tea in the room bring a travel kettle or you can purchase hot drinks downstairs. There’s also a handy fridge in the room. Can’t fault the hotel and would stay here again.

I selected this hotel because the historic ambiance appealed to me, the location was great, the price was reasonable, and breakfast was included! I also thought the name was special. The hotel is tucked away on a quiet street near the Borghese park.
Yes, we did enjoy our Rome visit in the pretty boutique Hotel Principessa Isabella. All of the staff were very cordial and helpful. Our upper floor room had lovely decor and was quite comfortable. There is an elevator which made carrying large bags very easy. I was very satisfied with the level of security and privacy, and all included amenities.
The breakfast room is near the lobby, and it was convenient to eat quickly in the morning and choose from a wide assortment of items. There is also a little bar, but the lobby area is a bit tiny for socializing.
This is a very good choice for a mid-range hotel in Rome, although the location does require a bit more walking to reach some of the most popular Rome sights.

This hotel is very nice, clean and surroundings are good. Well located for walking to some of the sights and restaurants.
However there is no room service and no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which means that to get a morning tea or coffee you have to get up, dressed and go downstairs. During breakfast hours it is available in the breakfast room, outside of those hours it’s the concierge who prepares you a drink at the small drinks station (it’s not a bar) at the end of the lobby.

The rooms are ok ( if we ignore the hair on the shower head that was there on day one!) they are clean and comfortable except for the pillows - I’m not fussy but these are thin, flat and hard as concrete, very unpleasant!

We had a triple room and our son’s bed was in a separate part to our bed which is fine in principal but the lighting wasn’t indépendant to ours so if the lights were on they were on for everyone in both sides/sections of the room. Not a deal breaker but irritating on top of the other discomforts.

The hairdryer is fixed on the bathroom wall and is basically what can only be described as a Hoover attachment so for anyone with anything other than very short hair, it’s useless. Fortunately the concierge had a real hairdryer which they lent to me but they only have the one, so once I had it for my stay it wasn’t available for anyone else.

Concierge and house keeping team very nice, concierge is multilingual and helpful.

We wouldn’t come back unfortunately but it’s a nice place if the above issues won’t bother you.

This hotel is a great place for seeing all of the sights of Rome...It is located close to a beautiful boulevard that is lined with beautiful lighted trees at night. We walked almost all of the time and only used a taxi once...it is about 15-20 minutes to the main train station. Vincenzo and Mauro at the front desk were extremely helpful with restaurants and places to see and go. They answered all of our questions with a smile and great patience. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again. The breakfast buffet is very good and is plentiful. The rooms are nicely appointed and have an old world Rome feel to them. We loved our stay here and highly recommend to others who are looking for a great value and nice location.

So upon reading the reviews the hotel is rated 4 star so thought not a bad price £169 for 2 nights we booked 2 rooms as we came out with friends from the airport fco to hotel it was a fixed €60 fee the hotel looked grand on the outside very roman style however the rooms were a let down!!! Literally opened the door and the bed is there small room bathroom was ok size shower was small water pressure were fine and plenty of hot water the hand towel in the bathroom is literally a napkin!! And the towels were ok the room was very warm but we opened up the windows and it was cool enough
Now the reviews on breakfast ppl stating lovely breakfast!!! It was pitiful terrible!! Cups too small literally a buffet breakfast the hot food consist of scrambled eggs and bacon and was stone cold and vile the boiled eggs weren’t even cooked properly (ppl must have gone to worse hotels thinking this was brilliant)
Small room and certainly not what to expect the only thing was bread cold meats which was ok
The hotel itself is fairly central to the colosseum roughly 20-25 min walk easy enough to get too this hotel does not Warrant a 4* it’s more of a 2*

This hotel is very well located. There were some nice restaurants very nearby, and easy to walk to two metro stops and shopping streets etc. The staff was very polite and helpful, and they even bought lactose-free milk just for me. The room was very comfortable, and the bathroom warm and clean, with a super comfortable shower. It was overall a perfect experience, and I recommend it to everyone who want to take a trip to Rome.

I have been traveling for many years, for pleasure and for work from Brasil to Bali or from Tokyo to New York. I had the opportunity to stay from the top notch hotels to really cheap ones. This wasn't my first visit in the Italy, but I have never faced such arrogant, rude and unpleasant service at the desk even in those countries who are not known for good service. Everyone can have a bad day, but to shout at the customer and tell him what do you expect, you use our towel our bed and water, so you will pay the taxes, because this is Italy? Of course, the taxes will be paid, but by my manager, not myself. He was just interrupting me all the time and didn't listened what is the sollution for this problem. This is not acceptable. People at the desk is your face and represents your company and sometimes even country. The receptionist who was working on 20th on March this monday morning should be revisited if he has bare minimum skills to work with people. If you hate your clients that much that you have to serve and can't hold your temper, it should be clear that this job is not for you. This is a 4 star hotel, most of the hotels for service and responses like this would fire their staff immediately. Sometimes misunderstandings happen, we all know that, but I would highly recommend not to choose this hotel to save your time and energy on a places where they have standards how to work with customers and handle non-standard situations. Why? What does this service translate to me as the customer? If the hotel doesn't have customer service standards or doesn't care, what else it could be there that they don't care? There is plenty of hotels in Rome to choose from.

This is a four stars hotel only on paper. Rooms are nice, but fornitures are really old. The TV is a 17'' monitor and only two channels were functioning. Before using the water in the bathroom we had to let it flows several seconds since it was red probably from rust coming from the water pipe. Breakfast was the worst part of our staying: absolutely inadeguate to a hotel of such category for both quality and service.

I booked and paid 3-day stay at Hotel Principesa Isabella, Rome. Due to a trip change I had to cancel the first night and the hotel advised that a refund wasn't possible. Three weeks in advance of the stay, I let them know that we would check-in on the second day of the reservation, by email and phone. Upon our arrival at Hotel Principesa Isabella on the second day of the reservation/booking, the hotel advised that they had cancelled that night's accommodation, "because we hadn't checked-in the day prior". It was late into the evening and the hotel made a cursory attempt to find us alternative accommodation for that evening, but unsuccessfully. Reception offered to allow us to sleep the night on a sofa in hotel foyer and promised us the room booking for third and final night was all fine. We found alternate accommodation for that second night, at our own expense, and after 3 hours sleep and at 6.30am we phoned Hotel Princapesa Isabella to confirm that final night's reservation and Reception advised that the whole booking had been cancelled. Hence, we had to find another hotel and at our expense for that night too.

We are now one week after the reservation and Hotel Principesa Isabella have refused to offer an explanation and a refund; for the last two nights of the reservation. I accepted responsibility for the first foreited night. We have phoned the hotel to speak with administration/management on three occasions but Reception refuse to put us through. I have emailed a letter asking for an explanation and refund to the only email contact on the website and have not received a reply.

The terms and conditions of the booking state that, "If you cancel, modify the booking, or don't show up, the fee will be the total price of the reservation". If the hotel had an issue with us forfeiting the first night of the three day stay, they had more than ample time to advise that we would be compromising the entire booking. My hunch is that the hotel is in such high demand, that they do not care about the customer; evidenced by the unsatisfactory customer service, lack of transparency and zero communcations. Beware!

Yes there is a hairdryer. It’s on the wall in the bathroom. It looks a little different to a western one so you could miss it. It’s not very strong but does the job for a quick dry off.
