I was with a friend in 6-10 March in Rome, just to visit. I rent a room in this apartment. Mrs Cecilia is very nice, she explained all I asked about restaurants, food, objective to visit. The room was very clean with a big bad, very comfortable, and we rented but with share bathroom. This is a small, if you... More

Myself and my partner stayed for four days last October to celebrate his 40th birthday, it is in a very central location within walking distance of the collusseum, forum, Paletine hill etc, the b&b was very comfortable and a great base for a rest between all the sightseeing, we would visit again.

We were young couple and stayed there for 3 night. Paid 50 Euro per room in early June, which was very cheap comparing with other prices. Actually it is 3 rooms apartment in old Roman house. Advantages: -Very clean -Very close to Colosseum -Do not need to use metro or buses, you can go everywhere on foot -Very good price... More

We stayed here 3 days and I can say it is very good! The place is 10 minutes walking until the coliseum! nearby you can find several places to buy food and take it to the room. We slept in the room with bathroom included, big room, the AC worked very well. The lady was very friendly, she helped us... More

With a friend we stayed one night in the Roman and Italian B&B. The location is perfect, only 5 minutes away from the central station by foot, about 10 minutes by foot from the coliseum, we really enjoyed the location that permited us to reach the main sightseeings of Rome. We saved money by not using the public transportation, and... More

Visited twice, exactly 2 years apart in May 2010 & 2012, and we used the hotel in a way most probably do when coming to Rome: we slept here, we showered here and we spent nearly every other minute living the Roman life outside. Firstly, this is a wonderful location literally outside a metro (subway) station (which only costs £1... More

My girlfriend and me had a really nice stay in this hostel. The staff was very friendly, the rooms nice and clean, we have no complaints. The metro station is round the corner, so you can arrive in the city centre very quickly.

Very convenient location as the Manzoni metro station is just right at the doorstep. We walked to the Colosseum 15 minutes away and we took the Metro to everywhere else. The area is more residential but the rooms face the road cross junction outside which can be noisy during the day. There's a vending kiosk round the corner where we... More

Me and my wife were in Rome from 11st to 17th October, and I must say that it was a very good idea to stay in Roman & Italian B&B. The location is very attractive (nearby Manzoni metro station). The room and bath is clean. Tasty breakfast every day and very friendly staff. I can honestly recommend this B&B. Marek... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
