Good location, not far from Termini station. Big room with bathroom and small TV. BUT very bad noise insulation and wireless. As a previous guest said - it's a place to rent a bed for night - no more.

Ok. I am travelling around Europe with my girlfriend and decided to stay at this so called hostel even if we were aware of the bad commentaries. Let's just say that this hostel is in a very dodgy area, where you don't feel safe at night, and that there is only one toilet/shower for the 18 beds, and that there...

We stayed in a room next to the office, it had two bunk beds and a very small bathroom. The room was cleaned okey. The breakfast was terrible! A croissant and muffin with nutella in it! In Sweden we don´t eat that kind of carp, so we were dissappointed. The neighbourhood is not safe! I was attacked by junkies för...

Do not stay in this hostel. My two female friends and I booked a 6 bed female dorm and for two nights were forced to share with a male. When we first confronted the management about this they lied to us and told us there was not a man sleeping in our 8 bed dorm. The manager eventually conceded that...

Not sure why the bad comments. It is a hostel no a HOTEL. Room was clean and safe. We had the 4 bedded room, on-suite which had 1 bunk bed and 2 singles. Toilet, sink and shower. The room was just off the office which sometimes you heard people chatting but not a big problem. Breakfact was a croissant and...

Avoid this hostel if you can. We have paid for a triple room with en-suite facilities. We got a room with 2 one-storey bed. The upper bed was on a strange level that you could not sit on the lower bed. The bathroom was outside, you had to go through a corridor in your nightgown. The bathroom is so small...

Hostel Eden no longer had a room for me when I arrived in Rome even though I booked in January for a March stay (and I arrived on time). Instead of telling me that there wasn't a room available I was told to walk around for 2 hours and come back while my room was cleaned. When I got back...

Avoid this one like the plague - truly one of the worst hostels ever.It wasn't really a hostel at all, just an apartment in a residential building that some enterprising landlord had decided to stick 18 bunk beds in and charge 12 euro a night for the privilege of sleeping in one. Unfortunately, this set-up didn't extend to improving the...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
