Stayed here for one week in September 2015 and December 2014 and found it to be an ideal location for exploring Rome and the surrounding area. Convenient for transportation and centrally located. Clean hotel with good breakfast, friendly English speaking staff and reasonably priced. I recommend it.

The building looks scary, but the inner place is clean, the stuff is friendly and the breakfast is good and tasty! They clean the room every day, the sheets were changed once. The position of the hotel is great, near Termini bus and metro station .

We loved our stay at Milo. The staff was really nice, comfortable bedrooms, very safe, excellent hygiene (they clean up everyday), excellent wifi, good breakfast with great coffee/cappucino/latte machine. You'll need to walk a flight of stairs to get to the reception (1st floor), so if you cannot walk, have that in mind. But other than that, we loved it... More

My original intention was to stay for one night and move a higher star hotel in Rome. However, I ended up extending my stay to 12 nights because the hotel was so nice! My wife was very happy with the breakfast and I was very happy with the staff.

My travel agent booked it for myself and my three children so we would be close to the underground and trains. They provide a nice European breakfast and have a great cappuccino machine that the kids could use. After 4 days in Rome we took a train from there to the cruise ship terminal. The location made everything easy. It's... More

I guess it really depends what your after but this is not somewhere I'd recommend. Great location, close to everything you need, but certainly not 3 star accommodation. Walked in to the courtyard which smelt like sewerage. Dragged our bags up some stairs to be greeted by an unfriendly staff member. Got to our room to find a very basic... More

I went to Rome last week for my sister's 18th, three girls. The location of this hotel is perfect, so close to the main central station and loads of restaurants around the hotel and coffee shops and a tram line. The hotel was up a big flight of stairs (no fun in 35 degree heat!) but overall was nice, the... More

Very close to central train station, great quick check in, good wifi. Perfect for us as we arrived via train late and we were catching a train to airport early. Hotel only a few blocks from the station - perfect location. Not an issue for us but it looked like you had to walk up 2 flights of stairs to... More

This is my first priority choice for hotels in this area. A simple hotel, nothing extraordinary, but what you get is good and sufficient. Clean room, good bed, high security, ok breakfast buffet, nice employees. Only minus, you must walk about ten steps upwards to enter the elevator, so if you can't walk stairs, you must go somewhere else.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
