This little two bedroom in Trastevere worked out very nicely for me and my wife and two kids, ages 13 and 11. Typically we stay in hotels, but it's hard to find a hotel that can accommodate a family of four and rates in Rome during tourist season for one room let alone two was distressing. In searching apartments, we... More

We chose Trastevere as we knew the area had a lot of buzz and was close to all the major sights. Marta met us when we arrived(which was quite late) and was very nice in explaining everything. She also arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport on the way home which worked out very well since the... More

Flat was roomy in a nice local backstreet near to local restaurants and facilities and the location to much of Rome was good. However, there was some noise at night but once you got past this the small back streets can be a good place to stay in a busy city. There appeared to be regular problems with the boiler... More

I stayed here for a week in June 2011 with my 18-year-old daughter. Rome is great of course. This apartment is well situated as other reviewers said (and it's true the oldest review must refer to a different place) - just across the Tiber from the main historic centre, as the name Trastevere says. Ten minutes stroll from the nearest... More

Firstly you should ignore the 1st review about this place...the one which goes on about a hotel, this is clearly not refering to Casa in Trastevere! This place is lovely, hidden in the back streets of Trastevere, and only 10 / 15 mins walk to all of the major sights, it is a great place to stay. We have been... More

We stayed in Casa Trastevere because of the wonderful things we had heard about the owner, Marta, the unique Trastevere location and size and comfort of the apartment. Rome is one of the greatest cities in the world, but its main drawback is that it is almost always full of tourists. Trastevere is a lovely part of Rome full of... More

The hotel website claims to be in the picturesque area of Trastevere, going so far as to call itself the "In Trastevere B&B" and posting a vague map featuring three Roman sites and positioning itself in the centre of Trastevere. This is a blatant attempt to mislead honest tourists looking for accommodation in this lovely area. The taxi driver from... More
