This was our first visit to Rome, and the Lilium turned out to be a great place to stay. The Lilium is a lovely botique hotel near the Porta Pia and Termini train station. My wife simply loved the place. Staff: The staff is exceptional. They gave great recommendations for places to eat, tours, and transportation. Everyone was friendly, courteous,...

My boyfriend and I stayed at hotel lilium for 4 nights in november. It was a pleasure. The rooms are very clean, the bathroom very modern and spotless, and the decor quite pleasing to the eye. The hotel itself is a perfect place for a young couple wanting to discover Rome. it is beautiful. We had a celebration but the...

A wonderful hotel, very nice and helpful staff. We had a room with a terrace, which added a significant dimension to the place. Rooms are clean, perhaps a bit small, but larger than I have had in London. The hotel even offers laptop loaners, which came in handy as we hunted for Halal restaurants. Not sure why some reviewers have...

We found the Lilium on a last-minute booking website for a great price. It is a little out of the way from central Rome, but it was well worth the travel time. It was immaculately clean and cool, and the fresh flowers in the lobby made the air inside a welcome relief from the heat and pollution of Rome in...

We stayed at this "boutique" hotel for one night and ultimately switched because of the price. Bottom line, though...this beautiful hotel seemed more like a very clean, newly-renovated, gut-rehabbed apartment. Frederico, the primary desk manager, was absolutely great. We were able to walk to this hotel from the train station WITH bags in less than 10 minutes. While it is...

Booked the Lilium for a Wedding Anniversary break. Not the most romantic of hotels but very sweet. It took the driver over thirty minutes to find as the hotel is located on the third floor of a residential building and has no signs to direct you to it. It is located by a buzzer panel at the main door to...

Lilium was our first stop in Italy and after comparing with several other hotels, overall we liked it. Positive: Good breakfast, very clean, friendly staff, big bathroom, free internet Negative: Hard to locate the hotel (no clear sign), simple furniture (we prefer more modern furniture)

This hotel is only a five minute walk (or a few minutes on the bus) from the Termini/bus station with a bus route into town a few minutes walk away from the hotel itself. The hotel is on the third floor with the superior rooms (with small balcony) facing onto a quiet courtyard, is very well decorated, modern and very...

We stayed at the Hotel Lilium while in Rome for our honeymoon and we couldn't have been happier there. The rooms were lovely with a nice bathroom, clean rooms, a balcony, and air conditioning. The staff were great, they helped us call the airport a few times to ask about our lost baggage. The breakfast was very good and everything...

This hotel is a treasure. I was thinking of keeping it to myself but that would be unfair. My single room I stayed in was a little pokey (the only negative of my stay, but I glanced into one of the doubles and they looked very comfortable) but the facilities were excellent -safe, fridge with free bottled water, good shower,...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
