In June 2015, I have booked this property for my upcoming trip to Rome in December 2015 from the Booking.com site, to which I received confirmation. About three weeks ago I decided to reconfirm my booking with the property owners themselves and therefore sent an email to the owner. I did not receive any reply whatsoever. This morning, i resent...

On arrival we were warmly greeted by Mario, who showed us around and gave us keys (stayed in contact with the owner Rosalba via email, would have been nice to meet in person. We stayed in the executive room (private bathroom), It was a nice and clean room but basic, but we didn't mind that. One thing I would say...

I have stayed with my friend at the room kiwi for three nights, in July 2014. The place is very clean, comfortable and has good atmosphere. We stayed in the smallest room offered, but it was completely fine - everything what one needs. Comfy bed, small bathroom (but enough for stay of three days). The location is just perfect -...

I went to Fruit Rooms for the canonization of Pope John Paul II and since I was booking late, it was the last I could find. The only other options were really terrible ones near the Termini station, so I was glad that I found a room here. But because it was during a big event in Rome, and I...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
