This is actually our third time staying with Elisabetta at Casa Eli. The Reason: relaxed style, she is very helpful, loads of non touristy restaurants nearby which means good food and proper prices and and very good transport links. Its in the suburbs but its well connected by tram, bus or train from everything really. Elisabetta and Google maps is your friend and will get you to everything. She will supply you with tickets as well for transport around Rome. Her cakes in the morning are lovely. Would definitely recommend staying here.
It says a lot about a B&B when guests return for a second time, which is precisely what we did 3 years later!! As previously, Elisabetta helped arrange a car to pick us up from the train station and a car to the airport upon departure. Just let her know what you need as far as transportation, restaurant advice and reservations, and the best place to get literally anything you might want during your stay or to take home. I had been nursing a broken toe for more than a month before even arriving in Italy, and it had started hurting a bit when I walked. When Elisabetta learned of this she immediately walked us to the pharmacy, explained what my issue was, and stayed with us while we purchased the remedy suggested by the pharmacist. Elisabetta is so helpful and loves to make people happy! Let her take care of you! We stayed in the same room as last time, and it was just as pretty and clean as last time. Save room for the homemade cakes at breakfast! She spends a lot of time orientating you to the city, explaining how to ride the tram, and how to find your way around the neighborhood so you will feel comfortable. We only ran into local Italians while in her neighborhood, which was a fantastic break from downtown Rome where every other person seems like a tourist. If we come back to Rome for a third time, we will stay with her again! Ciao, kisses to you Elisabetta!…
My father and I were delighted to stay in this B and B with its super cozy rooms and a super clean and classic authentic environment in a vicinity which has perfect access to tram 8 enabling visitors to go to the main parts of city centre just in a few minutes and come back with same tram to the b and b ....there were also real authentic italian restaurants in nearby with delicious food even for me ( as I am vegan and my choices are so restricted in normal restaurants ) The breakfast was just like home and the manager is so passionate and careful about every single guest ....bringing what they like for them each morning and helping you even for finding your desired destination( sth that even high ranked hotels do not always do for their guests) ...the room was so clean and the service was overally perfect ....really worth the money ...highly recommended…
We stayed with Elisabetta for 2 nights whilst visiting Rome. The room was great, really clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was great and plentiful. Elisabetta was a perfect host and very helpful with ideas about what to see and where to eat locally. Would highly recommend this B&B.
We really liked that we were not in the touristy, crowded centre of the city. I felt secure, even walking at night in this area. Lots of little grocery stores and bakeries and restaurants, all within walking distance. The tram is a 7 minute walk and 15 minute ride from downtown. The room was well appointed and very clean and the bathroom has a hair dryer and space to put your stuff. What really makes this place is Elisabetta, the proprietor! An absolute gem! We were recommended by friends to come here, and they were not wrong. She helped with reservations, confirming ameneties and transport with future hotels, got us transportation from the airport and to the train station. Has tram tickets available so you don't have to go find them. Directions! Even drove us to one site in her own car! She will twist herself into a pretzel to make sure you're happy. And she bakes almost every day. I don't eat sugar, but my husband had different sweets every other day. Anything you don't have, she will try to get it for you. If we were to come back to Rome, I wouldn't stay anywhere else and will certainly recommend her place to everyone I know.…
