Location: The hotel is centrally located near the Piazza de Novona within walking distance of lots of shops and eateries, though certainly a tourist area. Finding it is very difficult as you have to walk down a dimly lit alleyway and the place is poorly marked, which I hate to admit, but that is part of the charm. The staff...

Stayed here with my family for 4 nights. Wonderful staff who had breakfast for us from our early arrival while we waited for our room to be prepared. Comfortable rooms, quiet location in a pedestrian zone in the heart of Rome. Walking distance to all the major sites from the Roman Forum to Vatican City to the Spanish steps. Also...

A busy intersection nearby had plenty of taxis, but most places are walkable. Please be aware there is no elevator, but that didn't bother us, despite being on the top (4th) floor....

An historic but nicely updated family-run hotel in a charming section of Rome. The staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. Travelers with mobility issues should know there is no elevator and no public transportation (bus/metro) nearby but plenty of taxis.

Over the past several years, I have stayed at the Residenza Canali many times. It is my favorite spot in Rome. The location can't be beat, a short walk to Navona, the Pantheon, and Vatican City. The staff is always friendly and helpful; calling a car or searching for luggage. Breakfasts are fresh and plentiful with personally made coffee. The...

Neighbourhood Profile
Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighbourhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.
