We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Rome Termini as we were passing through Rome for only 2 nights. it proved to be a good choice although it was slightly further from the station than we realised given we were dragging our bags. Location on the Via Nazionale was perfect as it gave us another transport alternative in... More

Small family run hotel with friendly staff in an excellent location for seeing the sights of Rome. The hotel is quaint and characterful, what we expected of a traditional Italian hotel, and we loved it. Enjoyed the chats with the reception staff on all sorts of topics. Recommended, and would definitely stay here again.

This place was great - only wished we had booked more than one night! There were 4 in our family so were given an apartment which was beautiful, well equipped with super air-con which was needed! Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was lovely. There were stairs to climb but we have found that in a lot of hotels in... More

Stayed 3 nights here in Rome. 5 min walk from train station, on main street to lots of sights. Nice reception and welcoming people. Good breakfast. Very small shower (couldn't turn around or bed to shave!). Overall a good value for money.

We (2 adults and 2 children) stayed here for 2 nights in July. We had booked a quadrouple room, and were given an apartment with 2 bedrooms, bathroom and sitting room. It was beautifully decorated, spacious and more than met our needs. The hotel itself is located in a building very close to Termini train station. Most places are within... More

We were 4 in a large room. The room was clean and the stuff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is far fro the msin attractions so you need to walk a lot or to take a taxi. Breakfast is minimal but there is a supermarket near by. The price in the hotel website was cheaper than in trivago.

This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel. This time we were 2 families with 3 children. They were able to accommodate us very comfortably in a triple room and a quad room. The staff are extremely helpful and we like the fact that the hotel is near the main railway station for easy access but yet... More

I arrived at Rome from Venice at 11 P.M hoping to have a nice hot water bath and a warm welcoming bed to sleep in. To start with I was unable to find the hotel ( from the main station, Termini). I called up the receptionist and he directs me to a church( took me a lot of time to... More

It is an OK hotel, very central in Rome. Just 10 -30 minutes walking distance to the major sights and shopping centres in Rome. Beautiful local small hidden streets everywhere, within 10 -20 minutes walking distances and the central train station. Clean and well tended! Watch your steps while walking along the corridor as the floor are not always even!

the manager, owner is very helpful and showed us how to get to Eataly, the best resto in Rome. rooms are just ordinary, just what you need after a day's walk. Food is redundant. would definitely use this hotel if in Rome

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
