My daughter and I were lucky enough to stay here recently. The value for money of this lovely place is outstanding, the rooms are spacious, spotless and decorated in a fun, unique and comfortable manner. There is a shared space with tea and coffee and breakfast included. Best of all is the lovely Mark who looked after us like we were royalty. He went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and cared for us like we were queens. It was his service that really made this place extra special.

Just got back from Rome and had to leave a review for this wonderful hotel straight away. The hotel was so lovely inside, the room was immaculate and was also cleaned every day and sheets/towels changed every 3 days which is great! The staff themselves were also so friendly and willing to help, they also left us treats which was a lovely surprise :) I would recommend this hotel to all. It is also close to the colosseum, pantheon, Roman forum etc. 10-20 mins walk to all the famous landmarks. You also get breakfast which is a box of goodies, we received croissants, fruit, sandwiches, cake slices aswell as juice, yoghurts and water refilled in the fridges. The hotel and staff couldn’t do enough!

Absolutely superb little find for visiting Rome. It’s really close to the train station and you can walk to all the sites easily. The staff were very accommodating, and the breakfast box most welcome. It was a lovely touch to be able to help ourselves to water, juice and coffee any time. Would definitely recommend 66 Imperial Inn.

The 66 Imperial Inn is situated in a nice, convenient location in Rome, close by the Opera house and a ten minute walk to Termini.

We booked this hotel for a short overnight stay to catch an early morning flight home.
Once we found the address we took the quant old fashioned elevator to the fourth floor where we were met by a charming lady who despite the pandemonium in the reception area, did her utmost to render us with a nice welcome.

As our rooms were not ready, we checked in and left for the day to walk around the city
(despite the heat) and returned later that afternoon once the young lady at reception had already left for the day.

This is a quant, dated inn, walls “adorned “ in various painted scenes.

Behind the reception desk there is a complimentary automatic coffee making machine, fresh fruit, a selection of fruit juice cartons, biscuits, cake and other nice snacks.

The rooms size are satisfactory yet a little cramped if you have a lot of luggage.

The room airconditioning is weak and is only felt if you switch on the ceiling room fan as well (which doesn’t always work).

The bathroom is small and is in need of cleaning and maintenance (cracked tiling, sink, bidet), very low water pressure, water isn’t hot enough and of the myriad of shower / water jets in the shower cubicle, only the basic hand held shower rose works.
The others don’t or are blocked with mould.

Very very basic toiletries are available as are towels.

The room also includes a mini bar with complimentary water, yoghurt carton, jam portion and cheese triangle.

Double bed is standard and uncomfortable, but I suppose that’s a matter of taste.

The inn rate for that night was only slightly cheaper than that offered by superior hotels in the close vicinity..

Despite the Inn’s location and slightly cheaper rate, I do not think that I would opt to stay
there again for any period longer than an overnight stay between connecting flights if at all.

Unfortunately, photos of the hotel in their website has nothing to do with reality! This is not a hotel but the rooms at floor residential building. Kept quadruple room, which proved to be extremely small and uncomfortable for four people. The bathroom is also extremely small and uncomfortable. Every morning when breakfast delivered to guests ringing the bell in the room, and this is very frustrating for our peace. There is no reception and restaurant - had to have breakfast in your room! When we made the reservation two months earlier, the hotel manager warned us not to withdraw the entire amount by credit card, and then it was incorrect to say the least. Overall, the rooms are clean but not comfortable. The price does not meet the service they offer. I would not recommend this "hotel".

I chose this so called hotel after reading good reviews on tripadvisor. But travelers beware. This is not a hotel or a bed and breakfast. It is a total scam. Here are the problems:

1. This is an old house which is now converted to a lodge. There is no 24 hour reception and you have to fork out 20-40 Euros if you check in after 8.00 p.m. or before 11.00 am They will not give you a receipt for the extra money and it has to paid in cash only.

2. The place does not have hot water, so if you go when its cold, forget a nice hot shower.

3. They advertise a jacuzi in the bathroom. You will laugh when you see the tiny bathroom with a fancy shower which they call jacuzi.

4. There is no water pressure so you have to wait for a long time under the cold water to complete your bath or even wash your hands.

5. They advertise 24 hour air conditioning. The fixed ac in the room does not work and even after complaining to the reception, the ac was not fixed.

6. The free minibar consists of 2 bottles of water and 1 small bottle of terrible old juice. You can buy 1l of water for 0.20c in rome supermarkets so dont get tempted with this offer.

7. The room key is old and bulky, so plan to carry the heavy weight with you when you go shopping or sightseeing in rome.

8. There is no help from the staff if you need info on resturants or sightseeing.

9. The location is not the best. You have to walk quite a bit to reach the metro or main train station.

10. No one has ever heard of this place, so dont bother asking for directions.

11. There is no phone in the room.

12. The free internet comes and goes so if you are in the middle of an important conversation, you be sure to lose your internet connection.

YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY RUIN YOUR HOLIDAY IF YOU STAY HERE. BE VERY CAREFUL AND AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

This was a perfect place in Rome! Not far from the train station and all the sites. We got a bottle of wine upon arrival and the girl at the front desk gave us a map with all the sites to see. Breakfast was perfect, and the crossaints were fresh and delicious. Also, we stayed here when Rome was extremely hot, and the AC actually worked! (We had stayed in other places where it wasn't working.) Don't hesitate to stay here!

We arrived by train in the Termini. Station from within Italy. The hotel was but 10 mins walk from the station and in a perfect location. Access to the Metro and Buses was fantastic. The hotel was clean and we were received quickly and given lots of information. The breakfast was fresh and coffee was fantastic. As mentioned this location was perfect for our four days visit. Cant say enough positive about this hotel. We will definitely be returning!

There is no reception desk. You almost have to make an appointment to check in, something that is difficult to do when trying to avoid high roaming charges on your mobile phone. If you check in after 8pm, there is a surcharge for someone to basically wait for you to get there and give you the keys. You are given a key chain with several keys to get into the building and unit. If you lose your keys or cannot get into your room for any reason, there is no one on site to help you, something that is rather scary when traveling alone. Supposedly, there was free wifi, but the woman who gave me my keys left before I was able to gain access to it. I checked in around 4pm and she literally left 5 minutes after showing me to my room. The room itself was quite fabulous, but not worth the discomfort of not having staff on-site to help with any issues.

We stayed here for four nights. It is not a luxury hotel. so if that's what you want go somewhere else. However, for a group of friends who wanted to see Rome it was excellent. The rooms were large and comfortable. Beatrice was very helpful with advising us places to eat and visit. The 'hotel' is on the fourth floor of an apartment block behind a big wooden door, it has an old victorian style lift and the whole place is full of character. It is central to all the places to visit and there are good restaurants and a shop nearby. The water pressure was not great but water was always hot and the shower was adequate. We were given a lovely bottle of wine and free water. Continental breakfast was good. It was not an expensive stay but we thought a very useful base for exploring Rome.
