Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

Residenza Praetoria is clean and comfortable conveniently situated within five minutes walk of the Rail and Bus terminus. The rooms were functional and spacious. The proprietors, Massimo and his wife are charming and obliging - they sent a welcoming mail before we arrived with

Stayed here for 2 nights during my Europe holiday and one of the best stay in my overall trip. Very convenient location with almost everything available on walk-in distance. The highlight of the property is Massimo who's very kind and helpful in almost everything. He's always

Although we had a bit of trouble finding this hotel as there are several within the building, once we were greated by Massimo, we had a wonderful one-night stay. Massimo is an exceptionally kind and helpful host. Our room was very clean, perfectly quiet, the bed was very

I don't know where to start with the owner of this property. I made a nonrefundable reservation at hotel.com and somehow clicked on the wrong year. Hotel.com was, unsurprisingly, no help whatsoever. I was willing to pay again (it was my mistake after all), but the owner would

Breakfast quality?
Is there Wifi?
In theory yes and it is free. In real life the coverage is poor and it is more like on and Off.

Hi It's in a fairly quite part in a back street. it was fine during the day time as the markets were open but when it got dark it didn't feel as "safe" as I would have hoped, I was with my BF so felt safeish, as long as you're not both walking back really late in the evening then I'm sure you'll feel safe, as there are shops very close by that are open. it is very close to the station and is a great hotel with AMAZING aircon

I had no experience of late checkout. Yes, send them an email. They have good English skills and were pleasant people. Am sure they would try to meet your needs.

If you are not being attracted by the hawker market just outside the hotel, it will take 7 mins to no more than 10 mins for you to reach Roma Termini Station. Rather, you should take note to the time required to buy the ticket and also wait for the bus to take you to the airport. Don't fall into the last minute rush.

"The rooms are probably all great - a very well maintained small hotel."
"Facing off the street is quieter but noise wasn't a real issue"
"Don't order this hotel."
"Our room on level 3 was fine a little street noise but nothing which really bothered us."
"Interior rooms (facing the courtyard) are best. There is a street market in the mornings so rooms on that side are likely not as quiet if you want to sleep late."
