The room and bathroom were always very clean and tidy. The road outside was very noisy during the day, but very quiet at night. The breakfast was simple but very adequate. The staff were always happy and helpful. It is situated within easy reach of buses and the Metro and walking distance from some major attractions. In all a good...

everything was cool: Elbert and Randy's kindness, clean room, noiseless, nice room colours, good position and great breakfast! I spent 3 days in full comfort and I will be back soon! Go and get to know them!

After making my reservation online, the owner sent me a solicitation email offering to upgrade my room. I declined the offer. When I arrived at the hotel the next night, I was expected to pay for the upgrade I had declined because my email was not understood, and also a late check-in fee that was not listed on the booking...

So sorry to read this comment of yours Mr. BrokebackBackpacker, and we are saddened that the exceptional things and all praises that you said to us during your 5 nights stay with us were nowhere to be found in your review. Anyway, to answer your claims, firstly you were charged extra for the upgrade of your originally booked room with...

We had a great four night stay in late October at Kambal B&B. It's located a short walk from the main train station (Termini) and it's also right on the subway line (line A), making a visit to The Vatican effortless. Other Rome main sights, such as the Coliseum, are a short walk away, and there are also plenty of...

Kambal B&B was one of our favorite stays from our travels in Europe this past summer. Elbert and Randy and their other employees always made it their personal goal to meet our every need and always went above and beyond to recommend places to shop/eat and how to travel around the city. The rooms were comfortable, and the bathrooms may...

Before arriving in the City of Rome, owner, Elbert sent me an advance email giving us the full instructions on how to get to their place in details. Since we already arranged a transfer from the airport, we were dropped directly in front of their place and without any delay, I saw Elbert immediately opening the gate for us. We...

Excellent B&B with a very welcoming and helpful staff. Our hosts were extremely polite, friendly and willing to help resolve any issue. They helped us with our baggage and provided us with the necessary infos, maps, recommendations on local restaurants and public transport. The free breakfast included was great and ample, served in bed in the morning which was absolutely...

Stayed at Kambal B&B last week with my family. Location is about 10 minutes walk from Termini station and 2 minutes walk from the V. Emanuele Metro station. We arrived in the hottest time of the afternoon, and the hosts helped us with our baggage, sat with us, explained the sights to see, breakfast requests etc. Breakfast was brought in...

Booked one night for my flight leaving out of Rome. The private bathroom was out of order the day before I got there, but the hosts put me up in their newly opened guesthouse. It was located by the pyramid via ostenia. Very convenient, right across the street from the train station and the pyramid. Overall, great hosts and the...

Everything is great. The cleanest place we had stayed in Italy. We had the room with the toilet outside but still comfortable and clean. Elbert, Randy & Sam are great hosts. Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
